We are friends, and I am in the same boat. Got to get back on track. Weather is so nice right now, I am heading out for a walk. We will catch up soon, Shel

Im only an inch taller than you and can relate to mfp calculating me at 1200. So I went for 1/2pound a week setting instead and just worked on increasing my deficit with exercise. You did brilliantly, you look fantastic. Thanks for posting, it is examples like yourself that keeps us going. Beautifully done!

Congratulations. I still love my dairy but dropped 10 pounds within weeks of going gluten free. Turns out I was celiac. But there are many people that can't process the gluten and this leads to bloating and extreme tiredness. I won't enter the debate, but will just say that I am glad that you found what works for you. Your…

This is my third time. But I regained a lot less this time and I am ready to learn from the past. Welcome back. It works. You know it this time around.

Im going to try a stay-cation. Do day trips all over Vancouver island. On this list is caving at horne lake, horse back riding the trans Canada trail, and floating down the cowichan river. (if I can find my dog's life jacket) Oh and I want to have a sushi day, so don't be shocked if I log copious amounts of sushi.

I was curious so I peaked. Sounds healthy to me. But I love the breakfast and morning snack of chocolate. Healthy chocolate. Could you create me a diet plan? I like your choices.

I am completely inspired by your determination. It proves "one size" does not "fit all" when it comes to diet. I am glad you took your health seriously and just got to work. You also kept it healthy by having this transformation monitored medically. It was surgical results without surgery. Keep it up. Maintenance will take…

"only oats" is my favorite brand. Taste is fantastic and so is their mixes.

Unless there is a medical reason you need to lose weight in a short period of time and this reason outweighs the possible problems associated with extreem low calorie diets, then it would be illogical to follow your MD's advice. The logic: A smaller calorie deficit (such as recommended by mfp), along with exercise, and…

Be willing to change your plan. What worked last year for me, wouldn't make much difference today. Keep adjusting, keep learning, keep trying something new. Celebrate every victory with something helpfull. New shoes, a fitbit, ipod, healthy recipe book..... When things seem slower, then appreciate how far you have already…

Treadmill, Fitbit, Yellow Lab Shuffle and headphones Good shoes Wii Fit The list is long because I have been at this a year now and I find new things to motivate me. I get a new gadget as a reward. Sometimes it is a DVD or new yoga pants.... But I love my fitbit, and miss it when I wash it. The dog reminds me everyday it's…

Had it happen. I did let him carry my grocerys to the car before I informed him of my true condition. Felt it was a fair trade.

Wow, I have the exact same starting weight and height. (I have maybe a half inch on you) Very inspiring to see your progress, as my weight goal is the same. I've been slowing down and getting complacent as I am not at my goal, but much more comfortable in my body. I do want to finish this, so thank you for sharing your…

Amen! Cherrie Garcia specifically.

You did it. And we admire the determination. What was your method?

I have the same problem. I've been asking good friend for cast offs. And the other is consignment clothing, I am taking good items in for resale and they offer a larger store credit if you buy from the same store, so that has worked well. Another friend I am paying for alterations with prepared meals for her. It's hard…

You look FABULOUS! sincerely. Brilliant job.

Today, March 1st Fitbit says 10384 steps,11 Floors, ran all work errands, and finished them on treadmill, earning me a glass of wine. Goal for march? 300,000 steps, average of 70,000 steps/week March 2/13 , it was a long day at work and hardly any steps, so I got home and spent an hour on the treadmill. 10624 steps, 5…

Oh Fantastic. I saw the feb thread half way through. Today, Fitbit says 10384 steps 11 Floors 5.57 km/mi? I don't know if it's kilometers, but fitbits are american product so maybe miles? (will research) Goal for march? 300,000 steps Today I got half by running all the errands at work possible, then the other half on the…

I am a fitbit user, I usually eat half of my calories back if I am hungery. If not I don't worry about having a larger deficit as I only have MFP set at -500 calories a day, and so it gives me room to add to the deficit without getting into trouble.

depending on how much you need to lose. Usually around 30 pounds. Most people notice something is different, but are not confident in saying something till it is obvious. Also I gained and lost the first 10 pounds so many times people just saw that as a usual flux. Give it time, it will happen suddenly and everyone will…

side note to the poster above me. I too was mis-diagnosed as IBS before being propperly diagnosed as Celiac.
-
There is more public awareness to celiac's disease. That is why some may want to label it a fad. However I went through 10 uncomfortable years of visits to the specialist before anyone thought to test me for celiac. And guess what, I am celiac, and now that I eat gluten free I no longer have unexplained rash, constant…

You can do it. Making a public commitment, is a brilliant idea. Looking forward to the after photo's. BYW: the dress looks fantastic as is, but I know its fun to shoot for better.

Impressive, awe-inspiring, remarkable, and brilliant!

Yup, lets drink our calories. Fortified grape juice and barley sandwhiches from here on out.
