Interesting how there are so many ways people have logged c25k. For myself, I have a heart rate monitor and get cals burned from that. I then created my own exercise in MFP called c25k and just plug in the time/cals burned there. In the notes section for my exercise that day I enter in what week/day I'm on and how much…

I just completed Week 2 day 3. I tried it a couple years ago and dropped around week 4. That was inside on a treadmill though. Running outside feels totally different and I'm loving it so far! That is huge for me because I've never liked running, even as a kid!

I bought DDP Yoga and did the first round. I liked it but my usual thing that happens is that I can't get a day in here or there because of illness or something, then I get off the routine and not sure where to get back on and I lose motivation. I have started it again though. I have a bad lower back and even though I…

How about Dr. Oz's Total 10 vegetable broth? Maybe add chx to it? http://www.doctoroz.com/recipe/total-10-vegetable-broth

My employer uses Eurest as well. Glad so much of their food is in the catalog! Hopefully it's accurate because I have no way of knowing.

www.c25k.com All kinds of info at that site. I tried the treadmill version and I only got about 3 weeks in and then stopped. The treadmill seems difficult. It got really boring - even with music or watching TV. I'm gonna give this a try this spring in the REAL world! :)

Congrats! Keep up the great attitude and workouts!

I chuckled because I'm eating candy corn as I type! lol I did weigh my 1 ounce though and will enter that into mfp. Great job entering all your food! I'm like you were, if I have a bad food day I tend to not enter anything. I must follow your lead!! Thanks for the inspiration!

Where is the recipe builder? eta: nevermind...think I found it. Food ->Recipes. Will have to try this out! Thanks!

Fantastic! Great job!! Good luck with your Sept 2014 challenge!

Now THAT is funny! Ha! For many years I've always thought that much of our diseases/ailments stems from the overuse of plastic. It's not because of something I read or heard about, just a gut feeling. It's everywhere and in everything now. Even the syringe your doctor uses to administer medicine is plastic. I don't go…

Congrats to the OP! They do have a c25k program for treadmills. It's a bit different from the "regular" one.

...going through the McDonald's drive through and ordering something for my DS and nothing for me.

Quirky_but_nice - String cheese is just another form of mozzarella, which can be pulled apart in "strings". Very yummy! Wikipedia says "The manufacturing process aligns the proteins in the cheese, which makes it stringy"

Sliced deli turkey rolled up in a leaf of romaine lettuce sprinkled with a little cheese. has the crunch I love and the protein I need in a snack without the calories.
-
All sound yummy! Funny the variations of temp/time of baking the squash.

I don't use barbells but you could peruse youtube for some of the basic stuff, like how to put on/take off the plates and proper form. good luck. and congrats on advancing to barbell! :)

Congrats! This would be a good question to pose to a trainer at your gym. Let them know your desires and goals and they could help put together a plan. I know a combo of cardio and weight training is best, but depending on your desired outcome will depend on how you get to that point. Good luck!

I've heard lots of great things about this program and will be purchasing it tonight. I have a bad back and with this being a no to low impact workout, it's exactly what I need. Thanks for additional inspiration!

Fantastic! You are inspiring and looking wonderful! What a beautiful birthday gift to yourself! Congrats!

I decided to come back to MFP because it DOES work. What’s funny for me is that sometimes just the “annoyance” of having to enter the food into MFP is what can stop me from eating. For instance “I feel like having some potato chips. Hmm, that means I then have to log on to the computer, log into MFP, find it in the…

Thanks for all the ideas! * I'll keep up the walking. * I've thought about exercising in a pool as well. I'll check into the local Y and see what's available. * Never heard of that type of yoga. Will take a look-see!

I just started Ian Smith's Shred diet/exercise program. We can have soup for some of our meals, but are to watch sodium content. He says it should be no more that 480 mg per serving. He also points out that eating things made with sea salt gives you the flavor but has less sodium content. Not sure how that translates into…

"That "schnapps" and "cognac" were actually the names of different kinds of BOOZE - - not just the names of my pet dogs when i was little " We had a miniature german schnauzer named Schnapps too!

Can't wait for the day when my young son realizes it's "Ride 'em cowboy!" not "Ride a cowboy!"

I knew Twinkle Twinkle and ABCs were the same, but didn't think about Baa Baa Black Sheep! Here's another one... the theme song for "Barney" (the purple dinosaur) is the same melody as "This Old Man" (Nick nack paddy wack) . I think someone even tried suing poor Barney over it.

this sounds amazing - and so simple! will have to try it. maybe serve over quinoa. if one were to put a "normal" amount of minced garlic in, what would you think? 2 Tbl?

Glad someone asked cuz I couldn't figure it out either. thanks for the info!
