  • I take about 2 avocados, mash them with onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Then add some shredded oven roasted chicken. You can eat it from a bowl, or in a wrap. :) I also take that quac mixture for the chicken and top broiled salmon with it. Season both meats with Mrs. Dash lime fiesta blend.
  • I'm 5'3 and I'm somewhere between 157-160ish lbs. starting weight was around 233-ish. Been losing it since 2013 but have had some serious stalls since March. I'm hoping to be somewhere between 140-145. Feel free to send me a msg and add me!
  • I've lost 76lbs. My highest known weight was 233lbs (may have been more, I was too embarrassed to weigh myself at first) and I was in a size 22-24 jean. Wore a 1x or 2x in shirts I'm now about 157lbs (I don't weigh myself much anymore) I wear a size 10-12 now. I wear Medium shirts. Sadly, I didn't measure at first either.…
  • To lose 90lbs. 15lbs to go! :) To be healthy and strong for a someday pregnancy.
  • I'm sorry to hear about your obstruction. :( My husband has bowel issues and needs to be on this diet from time to time. No greens, veggies/fruits with skins, seeds, nuts or anything "rough." Google "Low residue diet" and look on pinterest, also. We generally eat a lot of white rice when he's having his stomach trouble. I…
  • walking on a treadmill, Yoga and some occasional kickboxing dvd's is how I lost the bulk of my weight (66lbs). As long as you're eating at a deficit and tracking closely. :) Whatever it is that you decide to do, make sure you enjoy it enough to make it into a habit. :)

  • I eat that combo a lot myself and enjoy Mrs. Dash Italian blend with it. Or I put in a small spoonful of pesto. Here's an easy recipe- I slice up some zucchini length-wise, saute that then add the onion, bell pepper and mushrooms. Season with the Mrs. Dash Italian blend. Put that into an "italian quesadilla" with a tiny…
  • This is really silly, but my husband stands on one leg when brushing his teeth. when he bends to spit into the sink he straightens the leg behind him so his leg and back are in a straight line. (Hope that makes sense? lol!) The next day he switches legs. :)
  • I made this spicy pumpkin soup recently and it saved well for quite a few days. You could also add a little smoked sausage to it, diced ham or bacon on it as well! The color did change a little bit the first couple days (I'm sure it's because of the pumpkin, but the flavor got better as time went on.) I also used canned…
  • I'm about 8 hours from where I was born. (551miles to be really exact. lol.)
  • I started out at 233 (I'm 5'3) and lost about 7lbs in my first 14 days. A lot of it is water weight at first. It did slow down quite a bit after that. It may be possible, but it might be a bit too fast.
  • This exactly. Also if the weight loss was super gradual and you see someone all the time, they may not realize the change. However, if it was super quick, they may think you have some Illness where you are struggling to keep weight on.. Weight is a hard thing to talk about. People would rather not risk offending you,…
  • Yes!!! I crave salty and sweet snacks back to back. But when I'm about mid-way through the week, my appetite totally drops off and I have a hard time finding things I want to eat. So weird.

  • Hello! I'm also 26, married but no kiddos as of yet. I've lost about 65lbs in the past year or so, and have another 25-30 left to lose. I'd like to get to 145 as well! :) I'll add ya! We seem to have similar goals!!
  • Sometimes, I think it helps to hear people who are successful say, "It's worth it." It's a lot of work and there will be days where you'll ask yourself if it's really worth all this hassle. I'll tell you, it totally is. I wish there was some magical bit of advice, that'll inspire you and carry you to your goal. But it's…

  • I notice if I eat stuff with a lot of sodium, I can balloon up 3.5lbs in as little as 2 days. :( Drink water to help you flush it out and don't worry too much about it. It maybe just water. Not fat. :)
  • For me, I eat a pickle. lol! It's crunchy, a bit salty and usually hits the spot. :) Celery is a good idea too! I've also been known to steam up some green beans. It helps me feel full and kinda cancels out any cravings I have.
  • I met my now husband back in 2006 online. If you take things slow and really are smart about it, it can be a great way to go. My husband is from Illinois and I'm from Minnesota, we met after 2.5 years of chatting online and were pretty serious by that point. (Not saying you should really wait that long to meet someone…
  • Right now I'm at 45lbs lost and I'm 5'3. (I started tracking later on in my journey with MFP) In total it's been 9 months, but the bulk of the weight has come off since July. My biggest challenge has been the working out. I totally hate sweating!! lol. But the trick is to find something fun and to switch it up often. Find…
  • This means the world to me to read. I'm your height and started slightly heavier than you. I recently dropped 20lbs, and wanted to lose more so I can start a family as well. I hope I can have the same success!! Thank you for sharing!!!
  • WOW!!! FANTASTIC!!!! :D
  • I have two! A pair of pants that were way too tight on me a couple months ago, now fit me perfectly!!! This one is weird.... but my cat is 13lbs.... she's a hefty bugger! Anyways, I looked at her today and realized that I had lost 13lbs exactly! So, I picked her up and was so excited about how heavy she was....because…
  • Bump for later! if you split it with 3 other people and consider it a treat, it's not all that awful! :)
  • Your story, totally broke my heart (I have very similar feelings about Lane Bryant...) But your "after" pictures... made my jaw drop. Incredible!! I'm so utterly impressed!
  • You can be healthy, strong, and fit at any age! Just go on with your awesome self! He'll see you improved mood, your strength ect. You can even be a good influence on him! :) It's more about being healthy.... but if you get a rockin' body in the process, all the better! :)
  • You look fantastic!! (But I'm sure you've heard that one already!!!) So I'll say, YOU LOOK SOOOO HEALTHY!!! :D
  • First of all, you are NOT a failure! You are healing yourself emotionally, mentally and physically. You are not failing at all!! And pay no mind when someone says, "oh... ya know... pay the money, have the surgery and have it removed." (as if it's an easy choice to make....) I'm sorry your trainer seemed so insensitive. :(…
  • We eat those quite a bit at my house! We usually have the broccoli and green beans. (They do have a good brown rice one, too!) If you visit there website, you can print off coupons. :)
