  • I always wear a HR monitor and have noticed that the machines at the gym consistently overestimate my calorie burn. With the HR monitor I can wear it when I do strength training and abdominal work too.
  • I always wear a heart rate monitor when I work out. You set it to reflect your height, weight and gender and at the end of the workout it will tell you how many calories burned based on how hard you worked.
