  • I am curious as well. I hate stuff on my wrists.
  • Go you!! What an amazing change- and someone said before- Smile! You have so much to be super proud of!!! I am actually just starting out on a very similar plan to you. Tried to do full keto, but Dr. Wants me to get more fiber than I can on 20 net. Can you send me a freind invite? I would love to help support you on the…
  • Welcome to MFP! Have met some really wonderful people here ! I keep thinking I am through (55) and then the hot flashes start again- ugh! Got about 70 to lose and I am starting over again, but much more confident then I have been in a long time. Please feel free to add me!
  • I needed this today! I'm 55 and about 80 pounds overweight. I have lost before but yo-yo'd and I just don't want to be "this" anymore. Thank you for.posting!
  • A slice of whole wheat toast with a slice of thin sliced cheese (about 35 calories a slice) laid over the top to melt.thin sliced tomatoes to cover and italian seasoning sprinkled over the top. Sometimes I add some of the jarred roasted red peppers- yum!
  • Hi Carol! Welcome aboard! I am back at it 53 and finding it a little harder to stay on track these days, but this community is a great help. I would be happy to cheer you on!
  • Was washing dishes when a small glass tumbler fell into the drain, while I was trying to get it out, it shattered and cut the outside of my pinky finger to the bone. When my husband and I arrived at the urgent care I had to convince them that my big burley husband (he's huge, but a teddy bear) didn't try and attack me with…
  • Absolutely, Massively, Amazingly, Fantastically, GIGANTIC BIG DEAL!!!!! Congratulations and can't wait to join you!
  • It's not a bad question even if you feel your neighborhood is safe. I live in a very "safe" neighborhood in Arizona, BUT coyotes have been known to nip at people when they are protecting their territory (or pups) and I don't live far from a riverbed where they roam - I do carry pepper spray as it is some measure of…
  • That would be frustrating! Ultimately I am thinking you can blame cigarette smoking and genes. Mayo Clinic says this: http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-pressure/basics/risk-factors/con-20019580 I know it's hard, but I hope you can quit! You are on target with healthy eating and exercise, why not…
  • @ SnuggleSmacks Do you make the black bean hummus? I think that's a great idea - recipe?

  • I make my own french bread and I only add about a tablespoon of sugar to help the yeast along - although you can make it without sugar at all.
  • Please feel free to add me! i am 51, been at this for about -hmm too old, can't remember!- anyway I have had success and some slides back and now that I am finding it a little (okay a LOT) harder to get it done - I am more driven to do it! I live in Sunny Arizona and I still don't get outside enough to get my rear end…
  • I feel like I have been one of those that has dropped off - I am soooooo sorry! Working on being a better friend as well as catching myself at five pounds extra too! Thanks for being there for me Betsi! For those looking - Betsi is fun, charasmatic and darned determined!
  • YES! You look wonderful and I am sooooo proud of you!
  • Bump! Looks like it would make a reasonable substitute for hashbrowns~ Thanks!
  • Love this! LOL! Unfortunately I think I might be using it a lot more then I should!
  • I roast the garlic and the cauliflower very slowly (so it gets tender enough) and then mix it with a hand blender. I do add just a touch of fat free or low fat sour cream and of course salt and pepper. Love them! Love the loaded mock potato ideas! Have to try that!
  • I really have no idea but found it interesting that My mom-in-law was told to drink green tea when her blood gets to thin (she takes blood thinners) in order to "thicken it up"! Thinking it's pretty potent stuff! It's what they gave her in the hospital (Mayo Clinic) as well!
  • LOL - I truly did! Too funny!
  • Great scale victory and it totally counts!!!! Good for you!
  • I shop at sprouts and get their frequent buyer (or whatever it's called) emails, they sent me one saying they were merging the two and that they would be using some of Sunflowers brands as well, I haven't really noticed. They have really great prices on produce - i save all of my veggie shopping for Sprouts. Their chicken…
  • I am so PROUD to call you my friend! You look so happy and comfortable and you rock that bikini! I want to be as comfortable in my own skin as you and to have the "balls" to let some rude, "need to take someone else down for thier own insecurities" type B's down! Thanks for the inspiration!
  • Like someone above had said - it all adds up! I remember reading (a while ago) about someone who ran in New York city every day. He made a point of picking up all the change he saw on the ground and after a year, he had enough to go on a vacation! Keep your eyes open!
  • This! LOL!
  • So really, MFP posters are fairy godmothers - i was just wishing I could find some good ones this morning and up this pops! BUMP!!
  • OP -Don't be sorry - You listened to what other people had to say and you changed your mind (I think?). That is the sign of an intelligent, thoughtful person. No reason to be sorry about that!
  • I had never thought of some of these and I have been so "snacky" lately! Thanks!:flowerforyou:
  • I think we may be long lost siblings - Or should I say
