  • I am jealous. I have not had a donut in a couple months. Nobody has brought any to the office and we don't buy them at home. I eat them real nice and slow... Getting one is far and few between. My vice is long john chocolate. yum!
  • Don't overeat and you will be fine.... I have a six year old and an 11 month old. With both my preganancies I gained almost 80lbs. Went from 120's to 200. I ate alot though. Boredom being on bedrest. With 1st I was back to pre-pregnancy weight in about 9 months. This last baby I am 15 pounds away from goal weight and she…
  • Well I am lazy and don't like to prep alot of food at work. My AM snack is baby carrots, cucumber slices and pistachios on the side.
  • My husband got ripped up at home with a pull up bar & dumbbells and a bench.... he uses alot of his own body also (if that makes sense - don't know the proper term... pushups, pullups, etc...) Same for me, but I am just toned, not ripped. Actually, we just got a YMCA membership on 4th July for our kids to swim. Have fun!
  • I know you said you lost 4.... but google what 5 pounds of fat looks like. You'll be glad you lost those 4lbs. Keep up the good work.
  • Cool. Thanks! One last thing? What is the name of your app & also does it have a stopwatch timer on these apps just in case you miss the beep or whatever que that tells you when to run?
  • Thanks Everyone... So will I have to buy a new app for each week or is that just for certain apps such as C25K for RunDouble?
  • Awsome. Thanks! I am gonna dowload the app tonight... I have never really ran long distance so I am really nervous, excited.. just alot of emotions. lol.. Sounds like a doable & fun approach to learning how to run.
  • Thanks! And to clarify you can listen to music at the same time? Like my MP3 music or any type (Pandora, etc...)?
  • I agree 100. My diary is closed. I use the log to keep track of calories and nutrients.. I don't use it on weekends. I don't need MFP "support" as much as others. I am losing weight, I am healthy & I am okay with that. lol.
  • I eat all leftovers that have been out overnight (unless obviously rank). but I wouldn't let my son. Sometimes I throw parties or BBQ's and a lot of stuff may sit out for hours.
  • I love apples and jello. I think my son & I eat those two things every evening!
  • When I was pregnant I looovvvveed botan sticky rice, veggie & pork potstickers that my mom in law would make, kimchee & seaweed. I am drooling just thinking about it.
  • (IMHO)....If I am getting smaller (losing inches, fitting into a smaller size) I consider it weight loss. I can go down a whole size in 3 weeks, but it takes about 5-6 just for me to see a 5 lb diff on a scale... It will flucuate for weeks sometimes.
  • Might gross you out, put I use my son's urine. When I was single I used my own urine. It is a natural fertilizer as well as bug repellent. My mom in law from Korea taught me this. It is common over there. If I feed someone my fruits/veggies I do let them know. I don't think it's unsafe, if you are healthy. Google it.
  • When I first joined MFP I felt like a failure because I was into these hardcore workouts. lol.. I don't have time for it. I have two kids, husband, career, my son is in two sports, he has homework, I also moonlight doing CPA work part-time. I was waking up at 4:45am doing the 30 day shred. Staying up super late lifting 3…
  • I eat raisin bran type cereal & add extra raisins with a side of applesauce (no sugar addes for less cals).. And I also love oatmeal with maybe a boiled egg (i eat the whole egg, some just eat whites.. but I don't eat eggs that often) and the applesauce. When I do the latter of the two meals, I stay full for hours.
  • I track sodium because during my pregnancies I get hypertension and it takes about 2-3 months postpartum for it to get back under control. It's not preclamsia either. Just hypertension.. Weird. So I figure this may mean I may be prone to get the disease as I get older so I keep track of sodium, stress, alcohol intake, and…
  • I drink two 4 oz cups each day. Black, still losing weight, still healthy when I go to the docs. HTH! ETA: I drink the coffee black.... LOL... Not that I am black.
  • Wow!!!! Great job.
  • My ego & my size 4 clothes in my closet. I'm almost there too (6 months postpartum)!
  • depends on if I wanna be bad or be good... bad choice - weight watchers creamy rigatoni with brocoli & chicken good choice - salad consisting of: iceburg, romaine, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, banana peppers, and one boiled egg sliced over it. got one hour to decide. lol
  • Portion control.
  • i eat what I want (within reason)... I love chili cheese burritos (and Taco Bell is disgusting I know)... But I eat one about once a month. No biggie to me & it doesn't slow down my weight loss.
  • Not in my house... I don't mind if my husband gains some weight... but I did not marry a bigger person so that would turn me off if he got out of shape. My husband is not attracted to larger women. Also, I think we inspire each other when we work out & eat healthy.
  • Honestly, I can fit sizes 6,8 or 10 (depending on if I am in jeans, slacks, etc...) but I look like a size 6. So I think it's possible. People guess my weight waaaayyyy under what I really am. I am only 5ft 4in also.
  • I agree with the poster that said flexees. I used to wear the kinds that fits like a bathing suit (with crotch snaps).. but the breast area is cut low so that you can wear you own bra.
  • For me it hasn't stopped my weight loss. I do however, include it in my calorie count if I have a glass in the evenings. And I make sure it is only 6oz (which is a serving for the type I drink). HTH.
  • Well if she can lose 20 lbs by doing that. How about sneaking in little tips on her to be healthy long term and keeping the 20 lbs off? Let her know she can eat carbs & still be healthy & lose weight.
