I started running in December I am currently 220 and run 3-5 miles 3 or 4 times a week. I will say that C25K did NOT work for me. I started and quit at week 4 multiple times in the past. In December I started Zombies Run! 5K Training and that was what gave me the running bug. The training, plan, storyline, etc. all clicked…

I also dislike running but I love to eat and it burns a bunch of calories so I run. I tried Couch to 5K 4 times, each time I was having to repeat weeks and getting bored so I quit. I know a few others have mentioned it but I am using the Zombies, Run! 5K training app and I love it! I find myself wanting to go back out and…

I just got it and so far did the assessment and have my 1st real workout today. So far I really like it. I was an EA Sports Active fan and like the Nike+ Kinect even better. The graphics are nice and smooth, instructions are clear. If the workouts are anything like the Nike Training Camp workouts they will be nice and…

The Polar FT4 survives swimming just fine, I have yet to get a truly accurate reading though because as a previous poster mentioned it does not transmit consistently when under water. I will get the "Check monitor" message repeatedly during a swimming session so now I don't even bother. Kind of disappointing. There are…

Somebody already mentioned stevia drops, I use french vanilla stevia drops to sweeten mine.

I have been using http://www.fitbolt.com it has a little toolbar on my browser that gives me a new exercise or stretch every 30 minutes. It is free and you can configure frequency, types of exercises, etc.

I use the Nike+ GPS app on iPhone and really like it.

Yep I too have a double belly. The ab work from 30DS has helped tremendously to shrink both upper and lower bellies.

I wear my HRM in the pool and when I am swimming continuous laps I burn 480-500 Cal per hour. When I am just hanging out playing with my daughter I burn about 1/2 that.

I like canned/pouch tuna with greek yogurt, curry powder and a little chutney.

I weigh mine after because that is the portion I am actually eating.
-
Welcome aboard! The best advice I received since starting, things will change, change takes time, just don't quit!

Historically in some circles wrist tattoos have had negative connotations because that's where people were tattooed in concentration camps so the wrist has been considered taboo. I think it is a personal choice. I wouldn't choose it for myself but I don't think it is trashy.

My goal is to swim 1 mile non-stop by Labor Day.
-
You better go on ahead wit ya bad self!! I am so inspired by you daily!

Sandwiches are my fave too. I use Nature's Own 100% Whole Wheat 50 cal per slice. It's not nutty grainy.
-
I like tilapia in fish tacos. My kid LOVES tilapia made with the Kraft Fresh Takes chili lime coating mix, it is about the only fish she will eat.

Sorry you are struggling right now, I have been there too. I recently started reading the Beck Diet Solution, How to think like a thin person and it has really changed my outlook on my weight loss journey. It isn't a diet, it is a step by step guide to overcoming the mental side of losing weight and strategies for…

Feel free to add me too. I like cheering folks on and don't judge. I've got plenty to lose so I will be here for awhile and I check in every day.

Propet sandals are awesome, especially if you have hard to fit feet.

Me too Me too! I can' wait to get out of the 200's. I am a stay-at-home mom, part-time project coordinator, part-time travel agent, homeschool my daughter who has autism and husband travels quite a bit for work. I love circuit training style workout DVDs. Feel free to add me, I am on here daily.

I wear mine on my waistband, in pocket or on my bra. I think the wristband is only meant for sleeping, I think arms swing/move more throughout the day than your torso so it would give an abnormally high reading when worn on your arm.

I probably would have said something along the lines of "I have X minutes to go and can talk about it then if you like" but yeah it would have irritated me too especially since I am clumsy enough on the treadmill on my own without being distracted haha

They look amazing. Some people pay money for implants to get calves that look like that. Nice work!

I have been on several cruises and there has always been healthy food options available. You can also get things without sauce, no butter, etc. The salad bars and fresh fruit options as well as fish, seafood, lean meats are always available. Lots of opportunities for exercise too using the stairs, walking the length of the…
