  • I've had up and downs... I like how I look now and feel better about myself. I feel better physically and can do things I never thought I could. I don't have to worry about fitting in chairs of breaking them lol. I feel healthier and don't get out of breath so easily... The downside is how I see everyone else... People…
  • I started my weight loss 3 years ago with about 100 lbs to lose. Seemed nearly impossible but I started focusing on 10 lbs at a time like you and seems like in no time I had lost 110 lbs!! Focusing on those small victories is how I got through it. After that I found it very difficult to maintain... I was either losing…
  • I've lost 112 lbs now without spending a dime on a gym membership. In the beginning, I started with the Biggest Loser game for the Wii, then I started running. Then I bought a barbell for only 30$ and have been buying inexpensive weights for it at walmart as I get stronger. Fitness doesn't have to be expensive, good luck!
  • lol, I've come to terms with my caffeine addiction and I have no intention of giving it up any time soon... hey I have to have some bad habits right? lol
  • I can do that to... especially on weekends.
  • I have the same bad habit. Coke Zero.... I thought noone was as bad as me but I stand corrected, I've had 2 so far lol. I know it's not good for me but I don't think I would have been successful at losing weight if I hadn't found Coke Zero. I used to drink regular pepsi all day long... probably 12+/day... I gave up many…
  • Turkey, chicken and lean red meats are an excellent source of protein without too many calories. You could also try protein shakes or look up recipes to use protein powder. I put protein powder in my oats... tastes great and it's a good way to get my protein without always having shakes...
  • Amazing! Congrats on your success and to me it's very obvious that you have the mindset and the motivation needed for continued success! I have no doubt that you will achieve anything you put your mind to and you will meet all your goals. Thank you for your story and for inspiring so many :) All the best!
  • I can't thank you all enough! I'm overwhelmed by the response I've gotten! I think the best thing anyone could say to me is that I've inspired someone... That is the best feeling in the world so thank you again! I'm glad I finally did share my story :)
  • Thanks everyone! All your kind words mean more to me than you know! :)
  • Thank you all so much :))
  • That's true. But I don't think everyone comes off of the WW program having learned much. Like I said, I don't have much experience with it myself so I can't say that nobody learns how to eat right on it. All I can say is I know people who were on it and some of them didn't learn a thing. They just kept eating junk everyday…
  • I think any of those diet plans work if you follow them correctly. The problem with most of them though, is that you don't learn how to eat right and you end up gaining weight back. I don't have much experience with WW but I've followed other programs in the past. I lost alot of weight on each program but gained it all…
  • I get this all the time from my parents. I know they're not trying to "sabotage" my progress, they're just concerned. And I told them the same thing everyone on here seems to think... that they're just so used to seeing me obese that they don't know what a healthy weight is supposed to look like on me. Not only that but…
  • I weigh myself daily, I know there are going to be fluctuations and I'm ok with that. I've noticed that I tend to maintain the same weight or be up .5 lbs to 1 lb for a few days but then I'll drop 2 or 3 pounds at the end of the week. I've been losing consistently this way since January. Always no change at the beginning…
  • You can't rely on keto sticks. If you're drinking alot of water, the ketones in your urine become diluted so it wont show up on the sticks but it doesn't mean you're not in ketosis. Try using them only in the morning when your urine is less diluted...
  • I completely agree! When I graduated from high school I weighed about 110 lbs and am currently 144 lbs and people keep telling me to stop losing weight because I'm getting too skinny... I weigh more but I'm more toned... focusing more on how I look now rather than what the scale says!
  • This!!! There is no secret or no trick... it's all about moving more and creating a caloric deficit. It will not be easy but it can be done. Many people on this site are proof of that... You just have to want it bad enough!
  • I'm from a small town in Quebec :) ...just an hour from Ottawa
  • I've been on depo for years and it did cause weight gain... Not the shot itself, but I suddenly had cravings for chocolate which I never had before depo. But I have lost 80 lbs now and I'm still on depo so it hasn't stopped the weight loss... From my experience, I would say that it was the increased appetite and cravings…
  • I have a caesar salad everyday! I buy the Renee`s Creamy Caesar dressing. It has 0 carbs and is very good! Of course, being a caesar dressing, it's a little higher calorie (50 cal/tbs) but I need those extra calories cause I have a hard time reaching my 1200 calorie goal most days!
  • I dropped about 10 lbs the first week and haven't stopped losing! Fats are good for you...just keep repeating it to yourself :)
  • I just wanted to clarify a few things because I guess I didn`t express myself well. I know she didn't mean to hurt/offend me... I know she's a great lady and has good intentions. And I don't think her advice wasn't credible because of her weight. I just thought, that being obese herself... she would have been more…
  • If she was a total stranger, I wouldn't have cared. It's because she knows my situation that I was surprised by the criticism... I did eat that poutine with no shame. I was simply venting out my frustration... I do know that what I'm doing is right...but why does that mean I shouldn't give a damn about what a friend says?
  • To answer to a few people on here, I never said that she couldn't give food advice cause she was fat. Being obese doesn't lessen the credibility of her advice, but I do think it's a little hypocritical. And being obese herself, I would have expected her to be a little more sensitive when making comments about my food…
  • Squeaky cheese is the best...
  • I know she had no bad intentions. She's a really nice person. The reason I was so stunned I suppose is because my co-workers are constantly eating poutine and other greasy foods all the time and when they ask me I always say no. They always say something along the lines of "oh come on, eating junk once won't hurt" and now…
  • @ starrxoxo9, Yeah, you're probably right... I just felt like throwing my cucumber at her lol
  • I had a delicious Boston Cream Donut yesterday... and it fit into my calorie goal :)
  • I try not to criticize because I have been there, I've made bad choices and I've been lazy... I also know that there isn't much anyone can say to make anyone lose weight. They have to be ready and motivated or else they probably wont have much success anyway. I was obese for a long time and I knew I was doing it to myself…
