donuts
pop tarts
cheeseburgers
there is nothing wrong with ANY food. eaten in moderation, you can include any food you like into your diet. there is no benefit in deprivation diets. food is simply fuel. it's a delivery system for your micro- and macro-nutrient requirements. so long as you are getting adequate amounts of nutrients, where the nutrients come from is completely irrelevant.
i don't understand why people come to MFP or other calorie counting sites with archaic deprivation diet mindsets. are logic, common sense, and critical thinking more rare in today's world than i presume them to be?

You should most DEFINITELY avoid ALL of those foods--except PopTarts
...if you are wearing a crisp white shirt. Unless the doughnut does not have a filling or lots of messy topping on it, in which case, why are you eating it?0 -
Dont eat any of them anyway
except pie
Steak and guiness pie mmm protein and fat0 -
I feel like this is all made up so people can start threads about it. I really don't think I see a lot of posts about it, and if I do it's people just asking about it, and then a whole crowd of people asking them why the heck they wouldn't eat pizza, because they eat it 12 nights a week, and lost weight. It really is just one of those threads along with bacon, starvation, and I lift heavy why don't you, that people make to call out fictional people so the popular people will reply with cheers, well done, so true, and things like that.0

Why do you care what other people do? Go eat your cheeseburgers and pop tarts. That shiznit goes straight to my *kitten*...
Thanks for caring.0 -

False. Always avoid pop tarts and donuts, they are crap. Pie, pizza and cheeseburgers should be avoided if they are not made with quality ingredients, because why waste calories on crappy food.0 -
because why waste calories on crappy food.
^ This exactly0 -
You can avoid any food if you don't like it. Or if you feel it doesn't work for your diet or lifestyle. Or you're morally opposed. Or you just don't think it's worth the money. My favorite food is of the Nunya variety. Nunya business.0

Your definition of crap and mine must be very different because I happen to find pop tarts and donuts to be delicious. And sometimes, I really like cheap, crappy pizza. Papa John's is my favorite.
There are times I want something "artisanal" or "hand crafted" and there are times that I want something covered in gooey cheese and dripping in grease. Why can't I have both?
To each their own right?0 -
burro burrito - mmm! no foods are off limits!0

I had a delicious Boston Cream Donut yesterday... and it fit into my calorie goal0

maybe i was being a bit of a smart aleck with my title, but i never, ever mentioned that this thread was directed at any specific person on this site.
I can see that. These "5 foods to avoid????!?!?!?" questions come up at least once a day (probably based on the banner ad that comes up and looks like an MFP article).0 -

Absolutely right. If you want to eat crap or two pizzas, that is your business. If everyone stopped eating crap a lot of people would lose their jobs. But, that Papa John dude only uses quality ingredients. He told me so on TV.0 -

In for the meat pies - Steak and Kidney for me, and none of your 'shop bought, light on the kidney' pie, either - I want me some home-made, plenty of offal cos yer mum is stingy pie.
