The exercise that changed the shape of my body the most was lifting heavy weights (3 sets, 12-15 reps each) So I do straight cardio 1 day (usually step aerobics because it's fun), cardio intervals 2 days (Tabata or Boot Camp), and lift heavy 2 days. Seems to do the trick. Good Luck!

I wear a charge HR on my wrist. The calorie burn for workouts seems to be spot on in terms of fat burn vs. cardio vs. peak. The calorie estimates needed per day are way too high though, I stay within my daily calorie goal (mostly) vs. the extra 400-500 cals Fitbit says I can eat/day. Starvation Mode is ridiculous. Listen to your body. When your stomach growls (hunger) eat some protein and veggies. When you have a sweet tooth, eat cherries. If you stay out of box and food cans, you win. I will not tell you how many calories I eat these days, but I started out at 1200

I'm sorry, I just saw your post today. I have the same issues, and also lactose crazy. I am not a fan of cows milk, even skim, drink almond milk. Totally different from peanuts. Treat yourself to ribeye steaks (full fat) and steamable veggies with no preserves. This is how you win.

Its kind of crazy, but you really do need to eat a full 1200 cals a day in lean protein and veggies to lose weight. I eat back half my calories in potato chips. It works

I'm also on a 1200 cal day diet, but I do eat 75% of my exercise calories back now, but only clean food. I remember when I started, I ate 1200 of frozen sodium meals, and kept a lot of water weight. Do you eat clean (outer isles of grocery only)?

I did not ask the question, but thank you for the advice of planning a week ahead! I plan 1 day ahead, sometimes 2, but a week makes a lot more sense. I find myself at work on day 3, trying to eat "fast" and staying within macros, which never happens. Best!

I am personally a fan of almond milk because I like the way it tastes more than the others, and cows milk does not agree with me.
