go the gym in the morning > indulge that said, i do watch my portions of food, not of booze though. :) it's the one time of year all of my old friends come back into town, so we always go out and have a great time. well worth the extra calories.

I have found that my married friends and friends who have a revolving door for "serious" boyfriends do not understand my contentment being single. I think they assume I am putting on a front about being very happy alone. But they could not be more wrong. Definitely different strokes for different folks and I think it's…

I totally disagree with this statement. But yoga definitely varies by type and instructor and I seek out the challenge. Class leaves me drenched in sweat, winded, strong, and flexible. I have always been an athlete - I swam competitively my entire life and have since been active with swimming, spin, and other cardio…

You'd be surprised how quickly healthy calories add up. Handful of almonds here, avocado there, grapes, fruit, cheese, meats... You're suddenly at 2500 calories -all healthy, but that won't make a bit of difference in the weight loss game. Must eat at a deficit. Be meticulous in your tracking and you will see results - if…

I swam my whole life, and I still do. I definitely have big shoulders and arms, but they give me strength enough to pull off some pretty nice poses in yoga these days. I have been on the receiving end of a few snide remarks from *kitten* guys in the past, but you just have to look at the source. I love to swim. I love…

Seriously. And he should have given the ball to the official, not set it on the field. It was definitely chaotic.

all of my strength training comes from yoga. i practice 6-7 days a week. i don't care for weights and over the years could never find myself sticking to a program. i am def stronger now than i have been, probably ever in my life.

YOGA YOGA YOGA just be sure to let the instructor know what you are wanting to work on. but if it's IT band and core, yoga is your go-to.

Do a little research away from the forums. They are horrible for you and are unregulated by the FDA. I did extensive research during my BSN program and will never touch them - I didn't before but I sure as hell won't now.

people who walk in late to yoga or leave during shavasana

Interesting theory about the ricin. I do think he dies, but I kind of thought it would be the cancer, but that seems too cliche. I like the ricin theory. I need to do a quick re-watch Saturday of the last season to determine my theories. I cannot WAIT.

I am 5'4 and 133. Ideally I'd like to get to 125 but I workout a lot so I am actually quite happy where I am.

Camisoles only. Occasionally a yoga inspired tank and boy shorts.

Very slowly. First to go was fast food and soda (which was rare anyway). Second thing I did was get religious about the gym, which shaped my current healthy eating habits. The more often you log and the more accurately you log, you start to see what is "worth" it and what is not. I never cut out any specific food or food…

You have a really great attitude!! Best of luck!

Good lord. Why so rude??

i am pretty surprised at the responses. GOOD jeans make your body look incredible. definitely check out consignment stores that only carry high end brands. there is a place here called poor little rich girl and i can get 7s, joe's, and just about every other brand you can think of for like 60 bucks. but i have also spent…

When it comes to clothes, I pay the extra money for: lululemon (finally into a size 4!!) jeans sunglasses

according to science, it is actually just calories in/calories out. obviously, if you want nutrition and health as part of the equation, you have to look at every aspect of what you are eating.

I love a good beer and good wine. That said, the consequence of not wanting to get up early for the gym has really made me cut back a ton. I still enjoy a beer or two on the weekends but that is about as far as it goes. As I posted that, I realized that my profile pic is currently from rooftop yoga, so it is my yoga mat…

Originally it was a number on the scale. Now, it is how I feel and how I well I sleep. Obviously getting into smaller sizes is nice too but I really don't pay much mind to the scale anymore.

Spin class was probably the first workout (besides swimming) that I actually looked forward to. With good tunes and a good instructor, you can burn a ton of calories in an hour. I did spin alone for quite some time before I was coerced into walking across the hall to the yoga part of the studio, and now find that they…

Sometimes I nap on the weekends. I pretty much slept all day yesterday - then again through the night. I must have needed it. I run on about 5-6 hours during the week and often find myself off to dreamland if I try to watch a movie or just chill on the weekend.

Greek yogurt, hemp seed granola, acai berries, strawberries, banana.

See, I am not a religious person whatsoever, but I adore the very minute spiritual lessons I gain in each flow class I attend. It's actually a pretty big reason I love to practice. For instance, today was a simple, "be compassionate to a friend, a stranger, an enemy, and an animal today." That was it. Nothing crazy, but…

I personally don't care for Bikram. My yoga is set at 93-95 degrees and is just a normal vinyasa flow. I find Bikram boring and repetitive. My brother swears by it, though. My body can just handle 95 degrees - 105/40% humidity is entirely too much for me. But it's worth a shot to decide for yourself. People who love it…

I love their cinnamon raisin bread with almond butter. Makes a great breakfast.
