Agree with the poster above. Make sure you balance out your protein, carbs, and fat in a meal. I've found it especially helpful to start my day with a high protein breakfast that is low in carbs. Try having something like 2 eggs and one slice of toast or a banana for breakfast instead of just porridge. Make sure none of…

Okay thanks, that's really helpful. I suspected that may be it. I'll keep trudging forward and hopefully I see a loss in the next few weeks.

Definitely, I may start doing calories again only just in case it's the fruit. I did start working out a lot harder in the last 5 weeks and thats when I stalled. Can you hold water weight in sore muscles for weeks? That might be a big part of it. I'm still getting in shape so I'm sore most days haha.
-
I count WW points for right now but I'll double log on myfitnesspal some days to make sure I'm not eating too much calories from fruit also.
-
I use a food scale and measuring cups for everything I eat besides eating out when I can't. I don't eat out too often anymore though maybe 2-3 times a week. They used to be my best weight loss weapons but its just not working this time.

Depends on your PCOS, I'd give whole 30 a try or paleo style eating to see if you lose. For my body, I do better eating less meat and more fiber-rich foods even with carbs. Every PCOS body is slightly different.

I definitely still eat junk in moderation while eating clean. I'll have a tsp of mayo on a sandwich or a tbsp of caesar dressing on a huge salad. I still eat bad foods while eating "clean" but in just much smaller and more controlled portions. It helps me not get rebellious and eat the whole fridge.
-
This, I'll still do home-cooked meals but there is a lot of repeats so that it's easy to plan and track. I do tend to eat a lot of canned soup when dieting too which helps with satiety and because I'm lazy.

I would stick to walking, elliptical trainer ( if you can get to gym), cycling, or swimming. 2 to 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes and work out briskly. Add in some light body weight exercises, like supermans, wall push ups, sit ups, very shallow squats, and tricep dips. Do as many as you can, so many people think they…

Okay thanks everyone! It sounds like there is hope for tone even if you can't build muscle while still eating at a deficit.

It started for vanity reasons, I wanted to be thin like all the other pretty girls. Now it is for health and to finish something that's challenging and to triumph over my demons.

boobs, tummy, and butt. My arms and legs are still similar size...stupid body!

I suggest sweetened vanilla almond milk, its better than corn solids to have a little sugar from the almond milk.

Food scale and measuring cups are my favorite tools when losing weight. When I was "eyeballing portions" the scale would not budge or budged very slowly, using measuring cups, spoons, and a food scale helped me lose consistently while tracking. When drinking alcohol stick to very low sugar clear liquors with seltzer water…

You look fantastic!! Congratulations on all your hard work!

Tofu...I cant, I just cant. I hate it so much. Learned to like kale after learning of the lemon kale salad with parm cheese. Soaking kale with citrus is the only way I enjoy it otherwise I agree with everyone else. Yick.

Psychodynamic therapy helped me. Went into the abyss of who I am, found out why I am the way I am, took responsibility for what was my fault, forgave my parents for mistakes they made (privately and publicly for one of them), and learned skills on emotional management. You have to figure out why you loath yourself…

Counting and measuring is the single most successful tool I have had in losing weight. I lost 20 lbs in 4 months with a hormone disorder diligently counting with little exercise. Its such a pain in the butt I agree, but its worth it because it is so effective. Counting helps me feel in control of the food going in my body…

Thanks for referencing your post! It sounds like itll be a reality anyone who loses weight has to deal with but loose skin is certainly better than early heart disease or diabetes. Thanks for putting it in perspective!

I can't stop counting having been an emotional eater, I found points less overwhelming to count than calories. Maybe one day I can do mindful eating but I always overeat if I dont count. Good luck!

Diet, but youll end up flabby at the end. Your body will eat your fat and muscle without any working out. I found this out the hard way. I lose pounds at a consistent and fast pace eating a very strict low cal diet and not exercising but Im pretty flabby even if Im thinner.

For 5'5 male at 194 lbs thats really not enough food with working out on top of it. 1600 only if you are eating your exercise calories back. I would cut down on the workouts and hone in on your calories hardcore or eat closer to 1800 and most of your exercise calories and go really hard. Its difficult for your body to do…

Vega shakes are about half the cost of shakeology. Still expensive but its not 120 a month rather 50-60$.

I read that and tried being barefoot more and got three types of tendonitis in my foot. Barefoot doesnt work for overweight runners.

I used to love coming home from a stressful day and sitting in front of the tv and eating. When your life is stressful, and it sounds like yours legit is, you just want to veg out and relax. Eating is taking care of yourself and soothing yourself for some, and there are many reasons for this. It might be learned or…

That does sound intense and legit reasons having a tough time getting to the gym. You only need to exercise 3 days a week for 30 minutes to get the health benefits. I would do something early in the morning like 20 minute Jillian Michaels work out videos at home for optimal convenience a few times a week. Otherwise, just…

I prefer WW because I find it easier to track, however some of your favorite foods will be more in points than in calories because WW is so concerned about fat. For example, easy for me to fit a chipotle burrito bowl in my calories, but at 15 points even for a healthy veggie bowl and only 26 pts a day on WW it makes it…

It's totally individualized. Some people thrive on low carb and some people don't. I tried low carb and paleo eating, did not lose as fast as just watching portion size. Meat keeps weight on me and if I dont track it, even eating no grains or starchy foods at all, I will not lose. Every body is different. I feel really…

My favorite breakfast is a big ol fruit smoothie 1 banana 1/2 cup fresh blueberries 1 cup of frozen mixed berries 1 tbsp of peanut butter 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk Oddly keeps me fuller longer than a low carb high protein breakfast, go figure

I hated Atkins and was wildly unsuccessful on it. I felt heavy and tired and awful. Paleo is better if you want to go low carb, fresh fruit is not the enemy!
