  • Feel free to add me as a friend as well :)
  • so thrilled today!
  • just started it yesterday. I am primarily doing TurboFire (Day 45) and adding some P90X in.
  • I agree with others who mentioned it: halhigdon.com is a great training guide.
  • I've been doing TurboFire for about 6 weeks now. Anyone else still doing it?
  • just sent you a friend request :) Thanks for forming the group!
  • Feel free to add me. I'm a lesbian as well. I had to step away for about 6 months due to an injury, but am back now. :)
  • I think the type of soreness/muscle fatigue changes over time. I have more stamina and strength now, but the workouts changed. I did Fire 30 and Sculpt 30 today. Fire was great and I felt amazing. My arms are stillll shaking from sculpt.
  • I'm starting week 6 of TurboFire
  • I gained weight when I joined (partially due to the fact that I was drastically under eating). Now my weight has plateaued. I have yo-yo'd between the same 3-4 pounds for the last 5-6 weeks. It is frustrating, However, I see a huge change in my body. My thighs have muscle mass and my butt is firm and higher. I went…
  • We do use some olive oil at home, but mostly use sunflower oil, which is made by a local producer. We are locavores -- almost all of our food is from local farmers and unprocessed. It is reassuring to know where our food comes from.
  • Wish I could help. I am at exactly the same point. Plateaued with same 3-4 pounds for the last few months.
  • Water. water. water. This would happen to me often. Now I drink a lot of water everyday and I can't remember the last time it happened. I carry a quart jar with me and make sure that I fill it frequently.
  • My (legally on wednesday) wife is often called "Sir." Usually it is by older women. She finds it amusing.
  • I'm getting sooooo frustrated! I have yet to lose anything. Well, I keep losing and regaining the same 3-4 pounds. (water weight, I'm sure). I am working out: 1-2 hours a day. Running, Zumba, and Jillian Michaels are the three I use the most.
  • People can be insensitive. My mother died from breast cancer. When she was undergoing treatment she was kicked out of a restroom, because it was "for women only". My mother was bald, had had bi-lateral modified radical mastectomies (no boobs), and was dressed as she felt comfortable(baseball cap, jeans, t-shirt, polar…
  • I am! We are getting married (legally) in Iowa this next week and having a ceremony on Saturday (January 21). We are into single digits until the big date! I didn't lose the weight that I wanted to lose before the wedding, however, I have gained a lot of muscle and have lost a few inches. I am thrilled with that. :) Will…
  • I sometimes laugh that I think that we are the only gay couple in our county. Actually, we did recently meet another couple who are old enough to be our parents (I think they adopted us as daughters). Gay families near us? Nonexistent. However, we are VERY out, so most people know of us as being the lesbian farmers. That's…
  • We have 5 children: 18 y/o dd, 13 y/o dd, 11 y/o ds, 7 y/o ds, and 5 y/o ds. The kids are well adjusted and have not encountered any negativity in our very rural area. Actually, our 18 year old and 13 year old have many friends who think it is "cool" that they have 2 mothers. The boys are all rather oblivious at this…
  • I have meltdowns over food as well. I hate it.
  • It may be good to get into a counselor or nutritionist... I will be going into my doctor and requesting treatment soon, but I know that having a support group here has already helped me tremendously.
  • There were many moves in Ripped in 30 that I struggled with. I just finished week 4 last weekend. There were some that I DESPISED (and still struggle with), while other exercises I could work with the advanced example. I figure that I was doing it, and that was what was important. I built a ton of muscle, but didn't lose a…
  • I'm tired. I turn 40 in a few months and I have been dealing with ED since I was in my early teens. This past October I watched my father have a major heart attack (the widow maker). My brother has bad cholesterol (as does my father) and now it turns out that I do to. It is not that our cholesterol is high, but it is that…
  • I picked it up last night. Can't wait to try!
  • I have been in both extremes and prefer happiness over money. What I would do, is keep the job I love and then find another part time job to sock away some extra money (just in case). It could be a few nights a week or a weekend. All of this would go into savings for the emergencies. I would not count it into the budget…
  • Am in week 2, day 4 of Ripped in 30. At the beginning of each week I have felt like I was going to die, by the end, I can do many or most of the advanced moves. (although week 2, I struggle with mountain climbers!?!?). ANyway, LOVE Ripped in 30 and was contemplating Killer Buns & Thighs... Let us know how it goes!
  • Current job: online professor of graphic design, farmer, and professional baker (the restaurant just closed, however)... Dream job: own a bakery/cafe, farmer
  • This is my background -- so that you have a little understanding of those of us who struggle to find 1200 calories. I have fought with ED for almost my entire life -- starting when I was 13. It became bad when I was a teenager -- all that I would eat were crackers and applesauce while simultaneously dancing in a ballet…
  • I have both. I started with the first and bought the second as soon as it came out. I loved the first one, but found that I couldn't see all of the moves. The second is much better -- I can see the feet, there are options to learn moves. It is also motivating. I keep trying to get all 5 stars in every workout and ever…
