  • It is a great idea, however I think it is limited to the US? It would be super if other countries got involved too.

  • Sorry, I have no photos to add. PC and phone issues atm :( Pix, the kids ate all the pizza pockets before I got a change to take a pic! I'll make them again though. All super yum food pics. Do you have a recipe or a link for the root beer chicken? I don't think we can get root beer over here so I will sub with ginger beer.…
  • I love my fitbit! I love how it holds up to 2 weeks of data when I go on holiday and cant sync it. Just by having it, it reminds me to get up and walk around during the day - which I really need to do more often than I do. I don't add any exercise into MFP I let fitbit send the info over.
  • Oops just realized I meant vitasoy so milky and not so good.
  • Hi, I'm gluten and lactose free 99% of the time. I usually pay the price for that 1% (just a taste of birthday cake!) but I know what the consequences are and sometimes its worth it. ;) I'm currently following the weighitup.com.au program which is really easy to change to gluten free as most of it is anyway. The forum…
  • Hi! My instagram is mainly used for photo a day challenge, although i've only used it for a month I dont know why I hadn't started earlier. http://statigr.am/banshiee
  • Hi! Add me :) I'm from Perth, 41, 4 kids (15-22), short (5'1) I also have a fitbit and love it. As i'm a little lazy I really need a lot of motivation to exercise! I'm really good at motivating other people to exercise haha :) Am 99% gluten free and lactose free, my diary is public.
  • Wow, your cake looks amazing! Just like a magazine pic haha. The family photo is beautiful, looks like everyone was happy. And those flowers! At first I thought they were roses, but they are a mixture of the reddest flowers I've ever seen, so beautiful :) Congrats!
  • Hello everyone! I'm new to this group and have spent a few delicious days looking through your food photos. You are all such awesome cooks! I am going to try and post my lunch today, nothing clever, just Grilled Tasmanian salmon and garden salad. I'm actually trying to work out how to post photos for when the cooking gets…
  • As a (very) beginner (learn-to) runner (jogger), what has helped most with progress is: 1. Rhythmic breathing - find the right rhythm with the right pace and zen out. 2. Shoes - as mentioned in above posts. 3. Tight, cushioned, perfect socks 4. On off days prepare/download podcasts, music list, training list, reading…
  • bump for later
  • I'm also from Perth Australia and Christmas Day (and boxing day) are so very hot! We always put on Christmas breakfast with croissants, ham, swiss cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon, ham off the bone, mushrooms, tomatoes, fruit salad, berries, stone fruits, yoghurt, juice, champagne, water. We dont have lunch. Any usuable…
  • I'm trying to do a 4k run on Sunday and Monday is when I begin week 4. I'm pretty certain I wont be able to run the whole distance but I've heard when you are with a group of people you can go further than you can practising alone. So I hope I can go as it will be interesting to see how far I can run in that situation. So…
  • I have a pretty sedentary job all day and dont travel (work from home office) so my steps are so low! I always try to get at least 30-60 mins of walking in but usually get to 8000 by 9pm and Im exhausted! If i can stand at the desk and walk in place I'll do it but it can be so distracting! The days that I'm over I have…
  • Hmm... I also bought the dvd set and I think its gathering dust! Even the basic one was too hard for me! Haha I'm so uncoordinated! I do have the wii zumba which I'll probably try again soon. I got it at the same time as Just dance 3 which I really liked and played daily for a while. And yes, with (a lot of) practise I did…
  • I just enter how many minutes I walked and at what speed and how many minutes I ran/jogged and at what speed. Easy! Also I dont have a HRM so this is the best way for me.
  • W2D2 Done! Yay!
  • Hi, just checking in with W2D1 completed! The back of my ankles going up to my calves hurts during the runs. I keep saying to myself that it's in my head and it will go away if i ignore it. haha doesnt work, but i'm sure with time and regular practise it will go.
  • ^ This is so good. Also with cucumber and tomato and thyme and lemon juice and teaspoon olive oil - awesome!
  • I just want to say that I have graduated from week 1 :) I'm not aiming for speed, just completion! I figure it doesnt actually matter how slow or fast I go, if I can jog for 20 mins, I can jog eventually for an hour. I dont need to outrun a lion, I just need to learn to run. See you in week 2!
  • Ok thanks. I was going to use tabata intervals for sprinting on the treadmill and weights. Although I'm not sure how I would go about using it for weights. I'll have to read into that more. Would I get the heaviest weight I can handle and do as many reps as I can in 20 sec or hold form for 20sec?
  • hi everyone! I've just started week 1 day 1 :) Just jogging at this stage and will speed up as I get into it. I had actually completed the program about 3 years ago and then got injured (not from running) and wasnt able to maintain or practise. So starting of at a worse place this time than when I did it first - hence why…
  • Hey! I'm out for a few weeks I think! Kids are home from school - Christmas break until February. And we have the new Zelda game so begging for time on the wii is a mission. I've started the couch to 5 k running program and will pop in here still and post a score if I manage to get a turn on the wii!
  • Oh, thats a good idea! I thought of playing as 2 people with a controller in each hand hehe your idea is much more practical.
  • My scores for Tuesday... Sweat Invaders: 10100 Don't Feel Like Dancin': 10458 Land of 1000: 9593 I think I'm getting bored with the game! I dont like how its so arms focused or right arm focused. My shoulders are killing me! (I have rotator cuff injuries from years ago that keep flaring up). If it sounds like I'm whining…
  • Thanks for this. I'm going to give it a go. So weird how scary it is to have to eat so much more food. Although I'm sure there is a 'magic number' of cals that also have to be burnt as well?
  • So ready for some new songs! I Don't Feel Like Dancin': 10458 Gonna Make You Sweat: 9518 Land Of 1000 Dances: 8540 I think I'm holding the controller at the wrong angle sometimes! Also 21000 sweatpoints in a week is so hard to get!
  • nothing reasonable to add, i just want to read later :) I eat very low cals because i'm just not hungry and eat clean. I'm not losing weight very well either!
  • Woohoo, I did a little better today too! Boom 10089 Da funk 10125 I'm so Excited 10896 My teenage girls are now home during the day as school is finishing. Its so hard to do this with an audience! haha. Also today I was so exhausted and forced myself to get over 4000 sweat points as I missed yesterdays and am trying for…
