I'm 5'5". A body builder friend said 1200 was too low for me and that I should be 1500-1600 with exercise. I think I will start with the go between at 1400. Thanks y'all :-)

Thanks for all the input. No, I haven't started working out. I have done low calorie before but it was a meal replacement so I guess I thought that doing it this way..."the right way"...that 1200 seemed low. I will continue with 1200 and add exercise but I think I will eat back some of my exercise calories. Thank you all!

I gained about 15 lbs with Mirena for 3yrs...had taken out recently and no weight loss since.

Hi. I use steamed cauliflower in place of rice. Instead of mashing as potatoes I would lightly blend until the steamed cauli breaks up into small pieces and it looks like rice. I will put a stir-fry over it or whatever else you would do with rice. Add whatever seasonings to it you enjoy. Hope you try it...it's healthier…
