  • Awesome! Well done. I'm shooting for 150 as well and am currently hovering at 200.5 SO close to onderland! :) See you there soon. PICS: This link describes it step by step : http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/104076-posting-pictures-on-the-boards-tutorial The short version is that you have to upload the images…
  • embarrassing? Psh! But regardless, none of us would have known who to credit those abs to if you hadn't responded... Maybe you're a little proud of your hard work? You should be! :)
  • Gosh, that sure started everyone off on a rant. And of course, I can't help but add my two sense, about whole foods, and about mayo.... :-/ Your point about eating healthy, whole, fresh foods is great. For a lot of people making that switch is HUGE, both in difficulty and in impact. I do find it kind of frustrating for…
  • You will be SO fine. Yes, August 2013 is a long time, but in the mean time, you've lost 20+ pounds! Revel in every goal you hit. Your GW (and mine) may be a long way out, but we get to spend every moment of that time being proud of each step of the process that we master. Honestly, I think I'll miss the expected feelings…
  • Whoops. Forgot to log last week. Probably because my results weren't thrilling. I had an AWSOME week before my second weight in, but gained a pound. I then had a drinking-heavy bachelorette weekend before my third weigh in and didn't gain or lose anything. That last one is expected, or better than expected, but still, now…
  • Agreed. I think I'm holding myself accountable by talking about it all the time. I've gotten lot's of 'how's the gym thing going?', but I saw a former coworker recently and she said something to the effect of, 'I meant to say this last time, but your gym efforts are clearly paying off. You're looking really good.'
  • Hmm. I did 3 days last week, and will keep plugging through it. I'm TERRIBLE at doing exactly the same thing every day, so I don't think I'll finish it in 30, but maybe 45?
  • Oh wow. I want to eat this SO bad. Added to the grocery list (in my head).
  • Exactly this, and everyone else that said something similar.
  • NSV: I've run out of holes on my belt. CW: 216 April GW: 208 Weigh in days: 4/1 - 216 4/8 4/15 4/22 4/29 (Wish I could just edit my original post, but here's an update with my April 1st weight and slightly adjusted goal.)
  • Me: 5'3" Used to claim 5'3.5" but my latest visit to the doctor made me realize that's one more little lie I should give up. ;) SW: 238.5 CW: 217.25 GW: 150 I have no idea what my body will look like at 150, so I'll start with that goal. I have a vague memory of weighting 145 in 6th grade...but I was 12. Hopefully I'll…
  • Bump Bump! 5Ks abound this time of year and I'm in a similar boat. I have no qualms about walking/hiking 3/5/8/12 miles, whatever, but running kills me. I've faltered on my c25k diligence in favor of other cardio work that would keep my heart rate at a more even pace. My heart rate spikes like crazy as soon as I try to…
  • Anyone else about ready to mute Jillian and just do the video by watching? I just finished day 2, level 1. I've cruised so many threads on MFP about the amazing results, and of course hope that I have a similar experience. Jumping jacks are bizarrely hard. But all-in-all, I was kind of surprised by how simple and…
  • A glitch in the system. Looks like somebody screwed up some math on the backend or something. I just went to test it again. Pressed edit, pressed save, and it recalculated to a much more normal number. New estimate is 237.
  • I've lost a little over 20 pounds so far. And honestly..I've only recently noticed that loss myself. Keeping track of the numbers has been plenty of motivation, but it's exciting to finally be able to look at a before picture and one of my during pictures and tell the difference. I'm pretty chatty about my weight loss…

  • I'm really curious about people's experience with this too. I didn't ask for any sort of chemical solution from my doctor when I went in for a physical, but when I told her about my weight loss, she offered that. I turned her down and have been making steady, healthy progress on my own..but I'm a little curious.
  • Alright, one more response to this. Since I hadn't ever thought to compare my stomach to a letter B before, I was reading up on another trait recently. My belly fat is very soft, but I see a lot of people with what appear to be much harder, rounder bellies. There is apparently a very serious difference between those types…
  • Oh awesome. I love this and want this. Seriously on the "rubbing/chaffing/forest fire". Really makes dresses less comfortable than many would think. Congrats!
  • My sympathies. I have the same problem. I also attribute it to my pants. When I was gaining weight in late high school/early college I was wearing pants that were too tight for me and sat lower on my hips. I don't wear the trendiest of pants currently, but I very intentionally started wearing better fitting, higher waisted…
  • Yeah, I mean, that's my general feeling about all diet/weight loss products. They're either bull****, or more harmful than good. But to be fair, I've never actually used any of them.
  • I'm curious about this also. I'm not big into weight loss supplements, but my personal trainer just recommended it to me. He also mentioned the Dr. Oz connection and said it was sold out at a lot of places. He is also taking it, I guess. reading up on it tonight. If it doesn't seem too creepy I may try it out.
  • Mine is open as well. I'm currently slated for 1200, though that dropped recently from 1440. I often eat back part of my exercise calories. I'm a bit of a foodie, so there's quite a bit of variety on mine. A lot of it shows as a list of ingredients in my my meal, as I tend to record every element individually and only…
  • This is awesome. I actually bought a new belt when I was in Turkey in November. It conveniently can be cut down from the buckle end and reattached. I'm having a blast plowing through a hole at a time. I think I'm a week or so away from being able to cut off my first 5 inches! I didn't plan it, but it's turned into a great…
  • This looks delicious. I love putting a savory spin on traditionally sweet recipes.
  • Me, Me! I'm currently suffering the consequence of poor youthful mistakes with completely horrible food, but at heart I'm a total foodie. And I mean that in the good ingredients, clever flavor pairings, trying-to-cook-everything-under-the-sun in my own kitchen kind of way. Being a foodie and being healthy go very well…
  • Holy cow. I love everything about this thread. I'm perusing this thread before I go grocery shopping next time. [Also, I'm waiting for my dinner to finish cooking and reading this thread while hungry is the worst.]
  • Thankfully I've got a pretty relaxed friend as the bride. I warned her when the weight started coming off and she said something to the effect of, 'Honestly, I don't really even care if you end up having to where a different dress.' Which, i think, is the right attitude for a friend to. Obviously I will try my best to not…
  • Very good point. I'm not sure. I didn't ask and ended up taking the dress home till the next time we go in for a fitting, so I think it might be too late. Regardless, I'm kind of looking forward to slipping into it one more time in April and giggling again.
