  • That's really awesome! Congrats!!!
  • Losing weight is challenging but losing weight w/ PCOS is even more challenging :( I was diagnosed w/ PCOS approx. 10 yrs ago and was told to eat a lower carb diet and to exercise but unfortunately I didn't listen until my BP and my health got to a point where I needed to make a decision and get healthy or else. I decided…
  • You are an inspiration to the rest of us. Congratulations!!!
  • I hate my muffin top!!! I've gone from a size 24 to 12 but I STILL have a super-size muffin top!!! Can you tell I'm angry about it? I can finally wear skinny jeans but what's the point if I can't wear flattering tops with them? Frustrating...
  • I started MFP back in June and have lost 60lbs but more importantly I feel AMAZING :) I love MFP!!! Thanks for helping me bring sexy back.
  • Sounds like you are making some good progress, just keep it up. If you're like me and are exercising more you also have to factor in that you are gaining muscle which will effect your weight. I recommend taking your measurements - this gives you another way to track your progress. I don't know about you but I much rather…
  • Most gyms have a kid's club or something similar for an additional $5-$10 per month. Join the gym and check the kids in for an hour or two a day. It's not being selfish it's getting healthy. You'll be around longer for kids and feel better.
  • I've always heard 15-20 lbs = 1 pants size but it really depends on the person. I've lost 60lbs and gone from size 22/24 to 12/14 but I I've also gained a lot of muscle. I agree with the others, take your measurements. It will help keep you focused during the times when the scale won't budge.
  • How about getting your ring re-sized by a jeweler??? Most rings can re-sized as many times as you need and in both directions.
  • Wow!!! Congratulations! You are an inspiration to all of us!!!
  • My knees and wrists hurt a little sometimes after I shred. I try and do the shred 4-5 mornings during the week and then do 60 mins of cardio in the evenings 6 days a week. I don't think the shred alone is enough exercise for me. I guess you could do all three levels if you wanted.
  • I have 2-1/2 yr old and his name is Grayson Michael Davis. My other "kid" is my cat Mr. Fancy Pants :)
  • 3-Buck Chuck wine of course ;-)
  • I do the shred in the morning 5 times a week (only 1 level) in addition to 60 mins cardio 5-6 times a week and yoga 1-2 times a week. My body needs a good combination of things not to mention that I get bored easy :)
  • My Love by Wings
  • I LOVE to cook but hate spending a lot of money and I get stuck making the same ol same ol all of the time too. My husband got me a subscription to Cooking Light for xmas and I love it! I try and make one new recipe a week and pick out things that are easy and inexpensive. This weekend I bought a nice cod fillet ($6.50)…
  • I generally eat half of them sometimes more if I am hungry. If you are only eating 1200 cals per day I would definitely eat some if not most of them. I get frustrated when I plateau and think that if I eat less than I will lose more but that is really not the case. Our bodies get used to what we eat and our exercise and if…
  • I started the shred about 3 weeks ago and I'm seeing some good results and I only do one workout per day. For the first few weeks I did level 1 and I just started level 2. I think you should listen to your body and if you think you are ready for the next level go for it. I also only do it for 2 or 3 consecutive days and…
  • Take a break for a day or two and let your body heal and start back up. I do lots of cardio and I started the shred several weeks ago in conjunction with my other exercise and I have found that the shred bothers my knees a bit. I think it might be all of the jumping. I find if I take a day or two off every week it doesn't…
  • Started Jan 2010 @ 244lbs (Started MFP June 2010 @ 235lbs) I've lost 23% of my total body weight or 58lbs and you bet your booty I'm excited about it :) Not sure how much more I will lose but hoping for another 25lbs+ in 2011.
  • I've heard drink half your body weight in ounces of water per day. For me 186lbs = 93 ounces. Also I am very salt sensitive and I find drinking plenty of water helps flush my system.
  • Sorry, coffee doesn't count :(
  • Yes, I too suffer from the dreaded baby pooch :( I started doing reverse crunches a few weeks ago and that seems to help. My stomach is definitely my trouble zone before AND now even more after a c-section.
  • OMG, you look like a totally different person!!! You look so much younger! And I must admit that I am jealous because it appears as though you haven't lost too much in your chest :) Mine has gone south since I started with no hopes of returning :( Congratulations and best of luck!
  • I use Purpose Lotion with SPF 15. It's gentle, non-greasy, fragrance-free, oil-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores). I have tried many other face lotions and this is the only one that doesn't make me break out.
  • Great job! Keep up the good work!!!
  • Sure you're not undereating? Your body could be in starvation mode. What about the zig-zag diet method? Eat 20% more one day, 20% less the next, eat regular for a few days and repeat. What about mixing up your exercise? That always seems to get me out of a rut.
  • Before I started to make some major changes I felt tired and sluggish and depressed ALL of the time... I kept thinking to myself - how will I ever have the energy to work out? First thing first, check with your doctor and make sure you don't have any thyroid or other issues. You can base your plan on their findings and go…
  • My advice is to track EVERYTHING you eat/drink, stay within the recommendations MFP sets for you, drink half your weight in ounces of water per day, and exercise, exercise, exercise... I have lost (almost) 60lbs in 7-8 months and I feel incredible. I would also recommend taking your measurements every 3 weeks since there…
  • I agree - once a week with the occasional peek. I weigh-in every Weds morning (no clothes, post bathroom). I find Weds works for me since I tend to eat/drink more on the weekends and this gives me an extra few days to drink more water and get back on the wagon. I also recommend taking your measurement every 3 weeks or so.…
