Decided to reward myself with a fancy new scale. Appears my old one was way off, like 5 pounds off. My son confirmed. So yay, I'm closer to my goal. I thrived doing Keto through the holiday. I'm so glad I didn't put off changing the way I eat til January. Making a change is hard work and there will always be some excuse.…

Feel free to add me. I keep my diary public.

Feeling good. Experienced going to the movies for the first time this week without getting popcorn. I did have a few glasses of wine while out celebrating friend's birthday. But, I think I managed to stay in ketosis.

You may have more luck checking a travel forum. American versions of foreign dishes are usually a lot different. I still can't get over my grandmother coming back from China and complaining they didn't know how to cook Chinese.

@River_Goddess after 5 months it probably won't taste as good as you remember. At least that's what I'm telling myself. Lol You just described my favorite treat. Sidenote, i have discovered asparagus sauteed in butter is decadently delicious

Good for you! I just finished my first week. Feeling great and satisfied.

They are aware for diabetes, not sure about low-carb. I'll have to ask. A few just finished intocilyzer school so they should have the most up to date info.

First week of Keto for me. Looking for MFP friends to keep me honest and motivated, my diary is public. Today was the first day I had a sugar craving. I think it was stress related more than anything. I'm 45 years old and my body feels 20 years older. 11/5 266 lbs 11/12 11/19 11/26

Brown rice has more iron & vitamins. I've been eating a lot more of it. However, I still eat my sticky calrose rice anytime I'm making an Asian dish. Sushi made with brown rice is just not appealing to me.
