Bodyweight exercises are a great place to get started. Or invest in an exercise band. They are cheap and will allow you much more variety! As far a losing weight goes, I like to think of it in terms of ponds, rivers and lakes. When water evaporates (or in your case, fat gets burned) you are going to notice much more…

Sure, why not? I like to track the fluctuations in my body weight. In the beginning I used to be upset by every up and down. Now I think it's interesting to see the pattern my body usually follows.

WOW! You are looking fabulous!!!! You earned it girlie! Also, I would've never guessed you were barely over 5'!

I understand that. Mine can't keep up with me & "doesn't like lifting weights." Seriously, who doesn't like lifting weights??? :noway:

I would think that trampoline results would be the same as from a rebounder, right? I've seen some rebounder exercise programs circulating the internet. Maybe you'll be able to come across some success stories as well. Good luck!

I generally exercise pretty intensely and drink between 14-17 cups a day.

I am currently doing Jamie Eason's LiveFit trainer on Bodybuilding.com. It's an excellent introduction to weight training.

I started at 240. Close, but not quite 250. :-)

I am a fan of easy so most days I will go for some oatmeal. I normally workout first thing in the morning and the carbs seem to hit the spot just right. I usually only make 1/3 cup or so.

I usually only count non-caffeinated liquids in my total. So an energy drink wouldn't count to me but a protein shake would. It's personal preference.

Oh, and I always match at the gym as well. It takes just a long to pick out a matching, nice outfit as it does to pick out dumpy sweats and a stained shirt.

I think that if you're working hard enough you wouldn't have TIME to notice who is wearing makeup and who isn't. It's like you're trying to tear other people down for not working hard enough when your OWN workout isn't even on the forefront of your mind.

Some people come from work or school. Showering BEFORE a workout is completely unnecessary. If your asthma gives you that much trouble maybe you should consider a home gym.

It definitely could be water weight! Especially if you were eating high sodium foods. Last Friday I went to Taco Bell and had dinner (within my calorie limitations) and the next day I was up 5lbs from all of the sodium. I have since leveled out. Water retention is no joke!

Everyone is going to give you different answers to the questions you asked...especially about the nutrition. I'm a vegetarian and have trouble with the protein intake rules yet I have managed to put on a good bit of muscle these past few months. I think trying to do it all at once can be overwhelming. Start with the weight…

Hmmmm...I can be somewhat of a thrill seeker. I'd go with cliff diving, bungee jumping, paragliding, or even skydiving. All of those are on my bucket list and seem like great rewards!

I swear that this is a quote from a movie.

Welcome! This is a great site with a bunch of amazingly motivational people!

When I was on birth control it did not seem to help but it may work differently with your body chemistry. Talking to your doctor is probably a good idea. Eating healthy regularly and avoiding processed foods seems to have had an enormous (positive) impact on my cravings. They've pretty much disappeared.

I don't like bananas either. I eat something else pre/post-workout instead.

I would say you can definitely train in that amount of time! To answer your first question, yes, I love to run. I don't have much time in my workout schedule these days to just run but I feel like I hit this point after a few miles of running where I can just THINK. I do some of my best problem solving and thinking during…

Glad to have you back! I am a consistent logger, supporter, and workout-er!

It completely depends on how hard you were working. You didn't really give many details about the workout so it's hard to even say if it's a high count or not.

I have a few friends who are doing it currently and love it. I wish I had time in my routing/training right now to add it in. I've done many of Shawn T's other programs and they are excellent. Give it your all and I'm sure you'll get some great results!

Absolutely fantastic progress!

Yeah. I guess I don't belong there. I don't think they should be able to call themselves a gym without a squat rack. $10 a month would be amazing but it seems like there are too many drawbacks to working out there for a person who is serious about lifting weights...or even semi-serious. Goodness! :noway:

I don't take my photos again until the 15th of January so I don't have pics to post as of right now. I do, however, have some numbers. From Oct 15th to Dec 15th I have been lifting heavy (well, heavier than normal) and have added a great deal of strength and I have lost a total of 9.2lbs. More importantly, I have lost 14.5…

I spin twice a week (about 15-17 miles each time) and also take my bicycle out a few times a month. Living in Arizona definitely makes for some good riding weather. I would say I log about 150 miles a month give or take a few miles. I've never actually added the numbers up but they sound good considering I didn't think I…
