Excellent loss! This doesn't pertain to the lose weight and build muscle part but the motivation part. As you get closer to your goal it may be harder to stay as motivated as you were in the beginning. By adding in some weight training you will see improvements that aren't scale related and it will help to keep you…

I agree. Bodybuilding has a great calculator as well as thousands of excellent articles and free programs to get you started.

^THIS!!! hahahahahaha!

Wear what you feel comfortable in. I feel comfortable wearing less. People (for the most part) won't care if what you are wearing is old fashioned or not.

Looking GREAT! There is such a difference all over but most notably in the armpit area. WTG!

Personality plays the biggest role in attractiveness for me. That being said, big muscles are HAWT!

I've officially been a vegetarian for 14 years and I find that I have to work to maintain a healthy weight. Calorie dense foods come in all forms.

I've done both and I've received excellent results. It depends more on the training style you like. I prefer to train on my own at the gym. I started with bodypump and moved up to the 5x5 program. I believe that bodypump will give you a great foundation, especially if you are new to lifting. I hope this helps. Feel free to…

This is true for me as well. I'm not a big fan of unscheduled rest days.

Awesome!

Congrats on the weight loss! It is truly a journey. I've been taking the slow and steady route and have been at it for a while. :-)

I like my stomach as it is flat but (more importantly) insanely strong IMO My lips (enough said) My strong legs that help me to do heavy squats and run for miles easily My shoulder muscles which are coming in slowly and I've worked for them!

As far as supps go, I highly recommend taking aminos. They make a noticeable difference in my recovery time period when weight training. Just make sure to look at the size before purchasing as I've ended up with the mother of all horse pills! I take multi fish oil vitamin d probiotic aminos *Edited to say that these only…

Mine is Indian. Some pakoras and samosas. Then some nice and spicy malai kofta with a ton of onion kulcha and a big mago lassi. Now I'm getting hungry!

As a vegetarian I am guilty of drinking a lot of shakes. I can barely tolerate eggs. So I get the protein where I can. I also add greek yogurt to my shakes. Although, greek yogurt isn't the cheapest either. I feel that getting the recommended amount of protein is a constant struggle. There are some decently priced powders…

I also have studied this program. Active rests are a beast but the research shows that it works pretty well! I would say go for it! Besides, it makes the program intense and fun!

This is so funny! Thanks for sharing! I am guilty of: 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 19, 21, 26, 27, and 28.

Something that helped me A LOT when I was first beginning was YouTube. I was very intimidated by going to the gym so I began by researching the different workouts and watching videos on them. I would then (at home) practice getting the movement right. Then when I went into the gym I had a much better idea of what to do.…

It really depends on the person. I workout shortly after getting up but I am a person that HAS to eat. So I have something small like 1/2 cup of oatmeal or a small protein shake.

I would say that is not true. I often up my burn by doing active rests, where I use my 1 minute recovery period to jump rope (or something of the sort) in between sets. I'm covered in sweat by the end. Even with doing that the burn would be nowhere near what your trainer believes.

Awesome post! WTG!

Love it!

I just added up my numbers. Exercise minutes for March: 1147 Minutes Left to Go: 293

I like hugs.

I am not ready to post my before/after photos yet. However, I started lifting heavier in November and in the past 5 months I have lost 5 inches from my waist and 5 inches from my hips, among other areas. I have lost more inches than pounds during this time period because of weight training.

For me? Hell yeah there is a correlation between the two!

You can make light of any situation. Some people choose (yes, make a CHOICE) to be offended over small things.

OP That is hilarious!!!

For me it's a toss up between going sky diving or hang gliding. That and having an awesome fitness photo shoot.

That's so sweet!
