I don't think there is anything you can do. He needs to make the choice himself. Just keep living a healthy lifestyle maybe he will start too, maybe won't. Just focus on you.

This is on a elliptical I'm doing it. Am I not going to get as good of a calorie burn if I go higher heart rate? I'm trying to figure out what the best weight loss method is.

yeah the more I read, the more that says that I could end up doing a lot of damage to my femor and then having to have a whole major revision later on. I know they are only meant to last about 20-30 years, so even if I can get another 15 before I have it replaced again. But I dont' want to do damage to the surrounding…

I find a breakfast high in protein helps.

I've heard some people say that they did a lot of cardio first, and when they got closer to goal started strength. I want to lose quite a bit of fat so I'm not sure if there's a better way to do it.

I know that weight training changes your body, tones, etc. I DO want those results too. Maybe I need to keep doing the Jillian videos and add cardio in also and then I can work on fat loss and muscle gain at the same time.

I'd love to see what you're doing. I'm doing Jillian Michaels 30 DS right now. And I have about 50 lbs to lose. My diary is open to friends so you can read what I'm eating. I'm very new to all of this and I don't go to a gym. I'm doing this all at home.

Also, I want to build muscle, (Not bulk.) and lose fat. Is the only way to lose fat to do cardio?

If you're not logging all your food, where are you getting that you are netting 1400 a day?

I haven't been eating much for processed foods. I'm trying to not eat too much fruit right now because of how high in sugar it is. And I'm trying to stay on the lower end of carbs. I guess I'll get a fiber supplement for now until I can get my levels up with food.
