Working when it wants to work - I have noticed that. :( It is free so I guess I get what I pay for. I suspect if I went Premium everything would work wonderfully. :) Thanks for responding.

Hi. I tried to read your profile but it is private unless we are friends.

Day 2 - I made it this far. LOL. My sister challenged me to a 30 day challenge and I'm trying to improve my health. I've realized that time is going to pass by anyway I may as well work on me. :) Looking for new friends, encouragement and fun with fitness. LOL

I saw your post on MFP about WW. I too could use some support on MFP and would like to see others progress as well to help motivate me and so I can encourage those that need some as well.

I was thinking of starting it the first day of March but there is no better time than now.

I just started January 1st - hoping not to be a cliche but reading your responses here is inspiring.

I live in Chula Vista and work in Sorrento Valley. Looking forward to using MFP to work on my fitness / health goals.

What a great post! I'll have to read this later.

So much great information!
-
Amazing and inspirational, great job!

Thank you all so much. It is for this reason that I appreciate having the MFP "community". It looks like I need to figure a few things out. Thank you all so much.
Was there a specific reason your Dr suggested cutting sugar and carbs? (Diabetic or weight loss?) The reason I ask is that if it's weight loss related you may be better served seeing a Registered Dietician than your family dr. Doctors spend about 15 minutes on nutrition during their studies (unless the go after it…

And metabolically what is the distinction between natural and unnatural sugars?
I don't know. Is there not a difference? If anyone is watching their sugar intake what foods do you enjoy that are low in sugar?

I'm always under my protein too. These suggestions are great.

The measurements are going down some and people constantly tell me I look like I am losing weight but the scale isn't budging. You might be right about the calories. Sometimes I have no self control but after seeing all my friends progress I am determined this time. MFP says that my calorie goal is 1230 but that seems so…

5 pounds is great. Keep up the great work, one pound at a time. If you lose just one pound a week at the end of a year that's 52 and wouldn't that be great.

You have motivated me to clean my living room so I have place to do it.

In my early 20's I had a lazy boyfriend and we would eat out and late multiple times in a week. By the time I knew it I was over 200 pounds. 30 pounds after that I went on Phen Fen and lost about 25 pounds. Then Phen Fen got banned by the FDA and I gained 40. A breakup with the boyfriend and laziness ensued. That was over…

I gave up Sweets . . . . I am hoping that after 40 days it will be more of a lifestyle change and I won't need them anymore.

Yay! It was a defective unit. Exchanged it last night and just set it up on lunch. I wonder if I can get in 10,000 steps in the next 10 hours. If not I will tomorrow! Thank you both for your assistance.
-
I have. Even put my usb into the port and it worked fine. Maybe it's just a defective model? I just tried it on my work computer and same thing.
-
I have done it all. For some reason it is not recognizing that the dingle is in the usb drive. No matter what I try or do. Guess it's going back. I'll exchange it but I hope the 2nd one works. Otherwise my husband is right. A good old heart rate monitor / calorie counter watch is better.

I installed the software and ran it. The dongle is in a working usb (I checked my usb memory drive to make sure). Do you have a laptop? Could it be the dongle isn't recognized because there it is too short?
-
This sounds like issues I have been dealing with . . . I'll have to check with my Dr.

I just read this post. Too bad too, I love roller derby. Is there an SD team still?
-
I wish I had time to read this right now. I'll have to come back and add my 2 cents.

I agree with the original poster. I feel weird working out at my local gym when the gal that owns it and works there all day every day has every excuse as to why she can't work out on an ongoing basis.
-
Good point, not only that but if you log a gain and then a loss and then a gain and then a loss and your MFP peeps are congratulating you I would think I would be a little discouraged that it was just a fluctuation. But at least your MFP peeps are congratulating you.

I'm in too. I would like to kick start my weight loss again.
