  • I lost my first 60 pounds without a regimented exercise program(it took me 6 months). I parked my car a little further, took the stairs instead of the elevator, and just "moved" more. I have 25 more pounds to lose to get to my goal, and am now exercising to lose the last bit. I knew I needed to get my eating habits under…
  • Your best bet is to add the ingredients separately. Once you enter the items, they should appear under your foods, and you can simply check and add them each day, depending on what you put into your juice. Or, you could "create a meal" with the different ways you might make your juice. Hope this helps. Good luck!
  • Try to look at your food as a "gift". When you eat something yummy, think of how amazing it is that this food tastes great, and is giving you sustenance. Food is supposed to taste good, and make you feel good, otherwise it would all taste the same. I had to learn that there were no "bad" foods, and that everything can be…
  • YOU CAN DO THIS! FEEL FREE TO FRIEND ME. I have lost 60 pounds using myfitnesspal.....tons of friends jumped on the band wagon and we've lost hundreds....i mean HUNDREDS of pounds doing this if we combined our weight loss.
  • Thanks for posting your progress/success! You are TRULY an inspiration to us all!
  • Don't give up. FInd your motivation.
  • I agree with the above post. I have lost 55 pounds since November (something I NEVER believed was possible), and I begin most days with an apple(70 calories) and as much coffee with Truvia that my morning mood requires. I find the fiber in the apple keeps me satisfied until lunch. I keep my lunches between 300-500…
  • You can DO IT! Get back TO IT! I've lost and gained weight back twice before. It is an awful feeling. I have felt myself slipping back into old habits for a couple of weeks now. WE CAN DO THIS!
  • I always wondered why I was extremely hungry prior to my period. Typically, I would eat more calories than my alloted amount that week, and not gain weight! I looked into it online, and according to most sites, women can burn from 300-400 more calories per day during the week leading up to their period. Finally, something…
  • I eat ice cream about once or twice per week...just make sure you build it into your daily intake, and don't do it every day. The best thing about mfp, is it teaches us to calculate. It's all about the calories. Eat what you enjoy, because you have to learn how to eat for the rest of your life, and I can't imagine you want…
  • I totally agree that when I weighed my heaviest weight I could have been eating 3000 or more calories per day. When I first started mfp, I was allotted 1600 cals per day. Then, after losing 10 or so pounds, mfp said I should lower my caloric intake, then after another 10, lower again, etc. I was at 1400 cals per day, and…
  • Have your doctor order a fasting blood glucose test. If your glucose levels are above 100, he or she may order a "blood glucose tolerance test". I had one of these done, and I was put on metformin. Since the diabetes scare, I have dropped 44 pounds, and had my blood work review yesterday. My levels are back down to normal…
  • I REALLY needed to read this today! Thanks for the reminder that I AM on the pathway to good health, and that I can NEVER go back to my old ways. My biggest fear is that point of complacency where I slip back into those old habits. Thanks for letting us ALL know we are not alone in this journey!
  • Great job! Keep up the good work!
  • This is soooo funny! Thanks for the laugh! I might try, too!
  • I highly recommend the Kymaro body shapers. They are amazing. They come in black and tan and if you buy one online, I think they send you a matching bottom shaper as well. I got three upper body shapers(one can be worn with camis or spagetti straps), and one lower for about 75 bucks...I shuddered at the price at first, but…
