  • I lost 35 pounds last year between low carb high protein dieting, exercise and intermittent fasting. I am starting up again after letting things creep up during the holidays (doesn't help I am going through a tough divorce so STRESS is high)
  • I have been eating Oikos triple zero yogurt and it's not bad.
  • No need to insult me. If you can't be nice, then don't comment. Not asking anyone to agree with me or even like what I say. I know what has worked for me and what hasn't. Good luck on your journey.
  • I have tried just restricting calories and that alone does not work for me I think dieting is different for everyone, that's why there are so many choices! Good luck in your journey!
  • It's 3 cycles and I lost weight with it about 5 years ago but really let a lot go after losing my Dad and leaving my business partnership and marital problems. My problem has never been eating too much....it's actually been the opposite. I skip meals, which throws my body into starvation mode so when I DO eat something, it…
  • I walk almost every day, for at least 3-4 miles. I prefer to walk first thing in the morning, It's REALLY helped my stress level and sets the tone for the day for me! I have not lost any weight (yes, I am logging in all my food too) but I do feel I have lost inches. I have tried to run but recently I have just decided not…
  • I am a vegetarian newbie...just went meat free Jan 5th. I do eat fish occasionally, but other than that, I mostly have stuck to my veggies. I am the biggest I have ever been. I started out 30 years ago as a model, and weighed a very unhealthy 120 pounds at 5'7.5". Now, at 46, with two children, multiple…
  • I started the plank challenge today also and held it for 38 seconds. I should have done better as I used to be a yoga teacher, but haven't taught in years. I am determined to get back there though :) Still having trouble adding it to my exercises but if I figure it out I will let you know

  • I was tested for lupus a few years ago, came back negative. I am thinking of retesting for that and for Crohn's. Going to hunt down this group ---thanks for starting it! I am so happy to know I am not alone. Feel free to friend me...
  • I have fibromylagia and IBS and glad to see this thread!!! I struggle with the energy level and work a crazy stressful job too, that doesn't help. I try to avoid dairy and inflamatory foods but when I get a flare up it's BAD. I ate like a pig for the holidays, and dreaded stepping on the scale this week. Surprisingly, I…

  • So sorry for your loss too, mandalu292...
  • I am so sorry for your loss. I have had two miscarriages, one at 5.5 months, one at 14 weeks. The emotional healing takes much longer from my experience than the physical one. There is no harm in continuing the prenatal vitamins...especially if you plan on trying to get pregnant again in the future. Having the right…
  • Sounds exactly like my 13 year old son's experience...thankfully he was diagnosed with ADD in 5th grade and I've been teaching him good study habits, even when he already knows the materials... REALLY glad to hear you got help and are doing well! congrats on the achievement of Law School!
  • I also agree with OPs...heart rate monitor is most accurate way. Otherwise, I used to log it as circuit training when I didn't have an HRM

  • I have a 13 year old son no behavioral issues but he does get lazy at school sometimes. He is very smart and gets bored easily, and then therefore lazy. BTW he was diagnosed with ADD when he was in 5th grade through a very thorough evaluation by a licensed psychiatrist. He's been on medication (a low dose) and it has…
