Find a good trainer, A trainer can set you up with a monthly fitness program. Don't always follow what others do as they could be doing it wrong and you can create more problems then help.

I agree with a lot of the same from previous posters. It is about nutrition which includes % of (carbs, protien and fat). Treat your abs the same as your other muscle groups.

You can try the numbers as stated above or even doing 35,35,30. 3-5 sets of 8-10 reps and keep your heart rate about 75% of max. I would make sure your getting enough complex carbs in that mix to fuel your body and to get lean mass. Protein can be about .05 - .08 grams per lb of body weight. Hope this helps. My opinion :-)

It does not look bad to me, The only thing I would say is to increase your water intake. Try drinking 11 cups a day. This will help numerous things.

I don't really have advice but wanted to say good for you! My wife and I just signed up for our first 5K on September 9th. For us it will be running at the track, treadmill and the 3.1 miles around our area.

We just got a pool membership and I thought I was in decent shape LOL. Well after a few days in a row of doing lap swimming my body was feeling it. A great workout for sure.

I would recommend some carbs just stay on the complex carb side so they digest slower and help keep you fuller then what simple carbs do. I personally try to keep mine to 20-30% of complex a day. Just my opinion.

I agree with the others 11lbs in 5 weeks is a great pace. My opinion and just man opinion is I would increase your calories slightly on workout days say just by 100-200 calories and get more protein.
