Can't tell, but rock-climbing's hot

Uses a good hairdresser and moisturiser ;)

Totally agree and I know there are more of us - most of my social circle to start. I've seen this topic on here before and it always goes pretty much the same way. I'd like to hear how bigger drinkers manage it. I usually manage to get in a lifting session before a night out (because I know I won't be getting one in the…

I don't have any advice, although I'm apparently old enough to give it. I'm just wondering at what age you become mature enough to pick fights with 18 year olds on the internet? Does that level of maturity level kick in at 38 or is 40 the minimum?

* Any lean meat (chicken tenderloins are my staple because they're cheap and they go with anything - 'ground chicken muffins', grilled with a little sauce) * egg whites * low carb veggies (greens, onion, capsicum, mushrooms, tomatoes and celery to name a few) * try switching the brown rice to quinoa, but you still can't…

Low iron's a common cause. Aside from a blood test to check your stores you can check your intake by pulling up a 90 day iron intake report on MFP. I was pretty shocked how little I've been getting.

I 'guestimate' their caloric intake, but only to see that they're getting enough. My kids are both far too skinny and it's hard to get them to eat enough of the right foods. Edited to add that I don't talk to them about calories, but I do say things like "You need to eat more to get big and strong." My son hasn't quite got…

Here's a link to a healthy eating guide put out by the Australian government. It's pretty child friendly because instead of calorie counting it just looks at portions of different food groups (p10-11). http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/_files_nhmrc/publications/attachments/n31.pdf

Are you eating plenty of lean protein, fruit and veg and some healthy grains? If I eat this way I find it really hard to reach my newly increased calorie goal. I could easily eat 3000 calories of junk in a day though!

Loving this - bumping coz I'll be devastated if I lose this goldmine of deliciousness.

I've got 2 on the go at the moment, Optimum Nutrition Whey and Syntha 6 (A blend I think) @ about 22 grams of protein to 190 calories. ON is great when you need the protein, but can't spare the calories. Sytha is delish and much better in baked goodies too.

Did you ditch them yet? And did it make any difference?
-
Definitely agree and Í'd even go for 10am. After completely stalling for months I started 14 hour fasts last week (Leangains). In the week I lost a kg and had strength gains.

So how did you all get there?? I've been stuck at 22ish (aiming for 18%) for months! I do a full-body strength session (heavy - for me) 3 times a week and play sport/some sort of cardio another 3. Calorie wise I'm averaging just below TDEE.

^^ This! Still not 100% sure if I'm laughing at or laughing with some of the posters.
-
^ I guess that's a 'no'.

I'm still not sure if this is actually about the gym...
-
^^ THIS! Of course you can't spot reduce fat, but if your round tummy is caused by bloating, it could be worth looking for trigger foods.

Alright, so I'm not a complete failure if I don't follow the workouts perfectly lol. Thanks :drinker:

These are great. How do I save them?
-
I'd say 'warm chocolate'. I mix ON Whey protein with 1/3 cup water then add to 2/3 cup black coffee (with or without ice, depending on my mood) and it's good. I tried mixing it straight in once - bad idea.

Draw pictures and diagrams. Read your notes into a voice recorder on your phone and play it back to yourself.

Dr Google tells me raised heels cause greater reliance of the glutes and quads. I'd feel like a freak turning up to the gym in a pair of heels, but putting a weight under the heel seems like a it could be a good idea. I never seem to end up with sore butt cheeks and that's definitely the area I'm most keen to lift.

Yummo! Is tinned pumpkin just like a soggy mash or is it sweetened? I doubt I can get it here.

If you were anorexic you would have been left with really low muscle tone. That would explain why you're 'underweight' but still at 24%bf. I'd definately go the strength route. Check out Staci - she'd be a great role model for someone with your body type.…

Thanks. I've seen posts on here before too (but not really specific in the details) which was why I looked into it. I'll let you know how I go.

bump - anyone?
