  • Click on "My Home" and then GOALS. you can go with what mfp suggest or custom
  • 64-68 is a pretty healthy resting heart rate, and you are getting in better shape so that is why the change during exercise. but the bruising you might want to ask someone about. Maybe a doctor or even a trainer might have some ideas why. I know when my iron is low i bruise easy. might want to get that checked.
  • I love the last line about stopping comparing yourself to others. "You don't have someone else's body, you have yours, so work on it." We all would be better off if we could focus more on doing things for the benefit of our health and not caring so much about what others think. :)
  • Pretty sure you can do HIIT 6 days a week. Good for you for putting your health first! Go hard! :)
  • WOW!! Way to go! Thats impressive. :)
  • I am a runner and I joined CrossFit to get stronger. At 5'10 and 138 lbs when I joined, I am now around 144. My strength has improved as well as my self esteem. That means way more to me than a number on the scale.
  • I remember reading that at 5 feet tall should be about 100lbs, and then add 5 lbs for every inch over that. If you subtracted 5 lbs for every inch below that would be about right, but it depends on body type of course. If you are solid muscle you are going to weigh heavier.
  • I don't know if it is right but I don't count sugars from fruit. I know you shouldn't go overboard on fruit but to me it is more important to limit/eliminate the refined sugars. Just my opinion.
  • Believe me it gets better! I love these workouts now! They were hard to start but if you stick with it for the month you will notice a huge improvement when you go back and try level 1 or 2 again!
  • At my highest I was 198.5 the day I had my son almost 12 years ago. I am now 140 lbs at 5'10"
  • Today for lunch I had shrimp with cajun seasoning and aztec blend rice (bulk barn). The colors and texture make it a great filling and satisfying meal that feels like a treat but is super good for you! I have also been making a salad using spinach leaves, green onion, diced avocado with the Kraft Olive Oil -Pesto parmesan…
  • That sounds just flat out mean. Stay strong. You can do it whether he is willing to help or not. When he brings home a cake enjoy a bowl of fresh fruit instead. When he offers you chips, take a nice long walk. Don't show any resistance to what he is doing, just simply avoid him and his temptations until he realizes that…
  • It looks to me like you could up your protein intake. It will give you some extra calories, keep you feeling full, and give your body the repair tools it needs after a workout. I noticed that when I increased my daily protein to about 100 i don't feel nearly as stiff after a workout and the stiffness doesnt last as long!…
  • She is blasting the message boards about how bad crossfit is, too much time on her hands. should be hitting the gym instead. Luckily we know better about how GREAT CrossFit is!!
  • Tomorrow is a new day! Drink lots of water and eat lots of lean protein to help keep you full! Once you have been away from the excess salt and sugar for a few days the cravings will lessen and soon go away. You can do it! :)
  • 199 lbs on April 27, 2000, the day I had my son. I told the Dr he needed to be born that day so I didn't go over 200! and then he was! (5'10")
  • I have done it all the way through, so now I do it once or twice a week when I need a quickie workout. I also use weights for level 1 during the cardio portions (shadow boxing etc) You can increase your weight as well. I like that it allows me to change up my routine, so I never get bored! :)
  • Love the post workout high! Makes you feel like anything is possible :)
  • I started 30 day shred in mid November and did it about 5 times a week for 2 months and it is amazing how much strength and endurance i have gained! and the best part is that you only have to coax yourself to a 20 minute workout and you know you have worked EVERYTHING. :) enjoy! you will love it when you finish hating it ;)
  • Another thing to watch is what you are drinking. Cut out all pop, juice (even fruit juice) You would be surprised how many calories you can consume in liquid form. And the quickie frozen meals gotta go. They are just empty calories.
  • I agree. Just did it for the first time! Crazy.
  • I have days where I am no where close to eating the amount of calories it says I need. If you aren't hungry, don't over eat. Your body will tell you what you need, just stay hydrated and eat healthy foods. i would guess around the 1800 calorie mark would be a safe amount, but time will tell. Just keep trying! way to go on…
  • I love Yoga Meltdown. I also have Ripped in 30 and 30 Day Shred. They are all excellent workouts!
  • I love my 305. I have had no trouble with it. It is easy to use and has everything I need....and I think they have come down in price compared to the newer models which i have heard aren't as good (from people who have actually used both)
