Try and find a partner or group to jog/run with. Music does wonders. Don't overdo it because if pain or intense soreness occurs then it will deter you even more.

^ Agree. The original Champ(1931) is just as emotional. Braveheart still gets me as well.

Short Circuit...LOL. ........More input!!

^Agree. Also experiment w/ eggs by adding tomato, spinach, orange or yellow bell pepper. Keep a box/bag of flaxseed as an alternative for omega 3. Sprinkle it on your oatmeal, salads, cereals. You can buy it for around $2-4. Natural applesauce is a great snack and cheap too. Whole grain pasta can be found for $1-2 a pound…

Catching up on Harlan Coben novels and thumbing through Sun Tzu's Art of War..again. Also reading an older edition of Contemporary Nutrition.

Greeting yall from the Valley!!

try whole grain pasta and use sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes. Stay away from cheese and creamy sauces and try not to cook your veggies in them as well. Think whole grains. Rice, fruits, veggies, oats and kidney beans are real good sources.

I wasn't planning on watching it cuz was gonna start working out at halftime. I stood there and watched her performance and I was impressed not with the show but with also how she looked. Fav Madonna song- Live to tell

A good routine would be to add some plyometrics to your workout. You can do this one at home as well. Do body squats, lunges, alt jumping lunges and jumping body squats in that order. Do 4-6 sets of 20 reps of each. After 1 round rest for at least 1 min then start your next round. The goal is to try and get to 6 sets and…

Soda and candy where first off the list. Flour tortillas, little debbie snacks, ranch dressing, and most calorie dense processed foods. Ice cream I still can't let go of..not yet.

Impossible? If it was impossible there wouldn't be woman bodybuilders, powerlifters etc..I never said anything about girls I've trained, I said I've SEEN cases of built muscle mass. It's ridiculous to think muscle tone comes from burning fat only. I've taken the measurements and seen the upper leg, arm, shoulder width…

What odd about it? It's a proven method and believe me in my experience I've seen girls get agitated because they were gaining bulk instead of leaning out. Doing higher reps increases motor recruitment, which in turn makes more muscle fibers fire. Thats where you want to begin and once you plateau that's when you know your…

I learned this in my Biomechanics training and actually I didn't believe it at 1st. I did a very similar 6 week routine for my lower body and got the biggest strength gains ever. Only thing is I did lower body once a week and my weight increased every session. Rest is the big key. You are essentially building strength…

How's your water intake? Try drinking more water esp since you workout. It helps cleanse the whole body including skin. Might do the trick.

I'm a personal trainer and if you are strength training, don't train a muscle group more than 2 times a week. When you train you should do 3 circuits of 3-4 sets of 3 exercises per muscle group. You would do 3 exercises for your quads, 3 for your hamstrings, & 3 for your calves. The first set should be 6 reps and add 2…

Should be consuming those egg yolks. It is high in the "good cholesterol". Plus, you are missing out on some essential amino acids.

Besides protein powders and bars, try beans & legumes. If you aren't trying to cut meat eat chicken/turkey and pretty much any fish (Not fried please). Look for products with whole grain wheat and peas & corn have the highest BV of vegetables readily available. Rice is a good source but stick to the brown. Try looking for…

I am a trainer, and first I would say ditch the heavy weight idea. If you are wanting to lose those lbs then stick to high reps and lower weight. Reps maybe in the 15-18 range. Try and condense your rest periods in between sets and try and get to the point where you are moving from one exercise to another. Keeps the HR…

If you are working out at night how many hours afterward are you going to bed? Also, this is a shot in the dark but are you breathing correctly while you're working out? If you aren't doing rhythmic breathing and instead are holding your breath alot while exercising then this may be causing your blood pressure to elevate…

"Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward" - Victor Kiam We all have our obstacles and sometimes we trip over a few, so what really matters is if you pick yourself back up and keep it moving. I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure 2 days doesn't turn into 5 days or two weeks. Stay focused on your goal…

Look into functional training. Body weight exercises can work wonders.(i.e, planks, bridges, divebombers, etc..) Think P90X but with more controlled movements. Not the fast paced workouts of aerobics or plyometrics. You want to strengthen your back/body by doing multiple joint movements but the need for weights is not…

Alot of good advice here. Another thing to touch on is how much rest your getting. You also have to give your body time to recover. If you are working out alot and not eating enough your body is going to go into a "survival" mode. The carbs and protein your body intakes can potentially get stored as fat because your body…

I am now on a strength training regimen. Lift 4-5 times a wk emphasizing core in every workout. Drop sets for upper body. High rep for legs & small muscle groups. 1 cardio day which consists of running on the track & bleacher climbing.
