HI everyone,

I know you can't spot reduce but figure if you focus on am area it must help.
I'm 5ft, 9 stone and on my last 7lb to go which is the toughest, I would like to lord inches off my thighs, knees and calfs, is snow at the mo so can't really run.
I was thinking of creating my own little work out at home....like 50 squats 50 lunges and 50 sit ups.......is this enough per day to make a difference?
Can anyone recommend anything else?

Thank you :)

  • I would try creating a circuit of the exercises you want to do with maybe 10 reps without rest and repeating the circuit maybe 5 times. Also try throwing in a round of jumping jacks in between each circuit to get your heart rate up. Just make sure you are doing proper form as you go from one exercise to another.
  • A good routine would be to add some plyometrics to your workout. You can do this one at home as well. Do body squats, lunges, alt jumping lunges and jumping body squats in that order. Do 4-6 sets of 20 reps of each. After 1 round rest for at least 1 min then start your next round. The goal is to try and get to 6 sets and only rest 20 sec in between each round/circuit. 2-3 times a week should suffice and try to reach that goal in 4-5 weeks.
