You will live longer than most people, so go for it. Agree it is good to vary the mileage and pace from day to day

It's worth getting the Hansons marathon training book. Very reasonable plan

That is an interesting study, but it is not the same as people eating different ratios of macronutrients out in the real world. I think that study had people in a metabolic ward, getting completely controlled liquid food, with no access to food on their own. I think the Low carb, high fat crowd would argue that eating more…

You might also be overdoing the pace. Can you try cutting back a little on how fast you run, and see if it still happens? You haven't been on steroids in the recent past, I presume...

It's not a rare problem. If it were just having to poop, could be due to too much food or high fiber food especially before a long run. But if only two miles is making you nauseated for hours afterwards, it sounds more like dehydration/hyponatremia. That happened to me once, but only after a marathon in warm weather. are…

Had tried loss setting of 1 lb per week, but it was too hard, finally succeeded in reaching goal weight using loss of 0.5 lb per week. I agree it is essential to eat back spent calories, and MFP was critically valuable for…

I usually run 10 miles every morning these days. I'm on target to hit 3000 miles for this year, if I keep the same rate. Like you, I…

The best is to feel what your body tells you. If you don't overdo the workouts it is safe to run everyday. Not every run should be a "hard" run, but most should be at an easy pace. Mix them up with speedier workouts to build your speed.

I'm interested in this topic. Also wondering why people believe that heart rate monitors are a "gold standard" for estimating calorie burn during exercise. I believe that my heart rate has changed over time, as I get older, and as I rack up the running miles, but not sure that that really changes my calorie use. I would…
