Steve, I am so sorry. I wish I had something meaningful to say. You have been doing so well. Don't let the stress beat you. You deserve to be healthy.

My favorite so far is a simple one: Chocolate whey protein, 1 tbsp PB2, and 1 cup Blue Diamond 40 calorie almond milk. If it's a snack, I'll use just my regular protein powder with not many calories/fat. If it's a meal replacement, I'll use a protein powder with more calories and vitamins.

I would love to do that one! I already signed up for the Color Run in Minneapolis the same weekend, though. Definitely will put a Warrior Dash on my list for next year. Those that do it, make sure you let us know how it went.

^^^^^^^^^^ Yes! What she said. I have a pair for outside and a pair for the gym.

Yes - definitely get to a running store and have them fit you for shoes. It is amazing the difference that makes. Bring in an old pair of tennis shoes so they can see where the wear spots are and that will help them determine what kind of support you need in a shoe. And don't hesitate to spend some cash to get a good pair.…

Shaun T from the Insanity Videos has a very inexpensive dance video set called Rockin Body. The choreography is super simple and he has one of the girls showing the low impact moves. The shortest routine is only 15 minutes. Perfect place to start. Not an intense workout - just a fun calorie burner.

Good for you! I have never done it but would love to hear your training progress and how you do during the event.

I love that you did it together. How awesome to be able to provide support for each other. You two look amazing!! Congrats on all of your hard work.

That is hilarious because I do the SAME THING! I only record it once a week, but the batteries in my scale don't last long due to extreme usage.
-
I did, too! Congrats on completing your three miles. It is a huge accomplishment!!

I absolutely despise winter, but have been forcing myself to run outside. I think I actually prefer it to the warmer weather, believe it or not! Once you get going, it's amazing how quickly your body will heat up. I wear a beanie on my head and gloves, and layer clothing underneath my coat. My husband still can't believe I…

Good for you for starting the program! My advice is go jog slowly. Just concentrate on finishing each interval. It's not a race and speed will come if you just keep after it. And don't be afraid to repeat a week if you find it was too difficult. If it gives you hope, I started Cto5k when I was 75 pounds over weight and 43…

Your hard work paid off! You look fantastic.

O.M.G. you look absolutely wonderful! Thank you for sharing. Very inspiring.

I agree - sticking with it is a challenge. But I think you're right - finding friends to help motivate you and keep you on track is so important. I don't have anyone in my personal life that understands what I'm going through, so this has been so great to have people that I can relate to and that can relate to me. Best of…

I love your positive attitude. Just take it one meal at a time, one step at a time. You'll get there!

That is great. Good for you!

You have a whole new life and you look like a new person! Congrats!!

Way to go! So inspiring, thanks for sharing. My weight today is exactly what your starting weight was. You provided motivation to keep going.

This is so ironic, because I just posted on the message boards that I was looking for someone to join a team. I decided to do a search of groups, and I found this! I would really like to do Live Healthy Iowa. I can't convince any of my coworkers, friends, or families here to participate. I would love to join you if you…

That is a great NSV! Have a wonderful birthday.

You can do this! One meal at a time, one foot in front of the other. Just remember it's not a race, but a journey. Make sure you are eating enough calories so you will still lose, but not be so darn hungry. :) And you definitely hit the nail on the head it is a lifestyle change. I will be eating this way and tracking…

I'm not a Canuck, but wanted to welcome you and wish you luck on your journey. You can soooo do this. I don't even recognize myself from what i was just three short months ago. Feel free to add me if you like.
