  • Well, things certainly changed since I wrote that post. I lost 14lbs May 6th-June 4th and have lost 1/2lb since June 4th. I have 50lbs to lose, so a long way to go. I was eating too low and had no energy to even take a shower and was getting dizzy and had to start eating closer to 1400 calories, but now 1/2lb in 3 weeks?
  • Watch out because Chobani and Oikos have like 22g of sugar in one little container.
  • Same here. When I'm very tired, I reach for food to comfort me. Not good.
  • My doctor prescribed Topomax for me and I have lost 16lbs since May 9th. Like others have said, you do have to learn new habits or you will just put the weight back on when you stop taking the pills or the effects wear off. I have to practically force myself to eat. I'm never hungry. It's a very weird feeling, but I'm…
  • Search Pinterest for creamy white chicken chili. It's amazing!
  • I use them in place of lettuce in a lot of salads. My favorite is to make the turkey meatballs from Skinny Taste's website and serve on top of zoodles instead of pasta to add some texture. I just nuke them for a minute before adding balls and sauce.
  • The website DashingDish.com has a lot of clean eating recipes. Some you have to pay for, but it's only $7/month. The zucchini lasagna recipe was worth that alone.
  • It's almost 100% likely it was sodium. I have lost 5lbs overnight after gaining it on an especially high sodium day. This is completely normal and will happen often. No need to worry.
  • Feel free to add me. I'm a pre-logger. Sometimes two weeks in advance, so I know that's a little crazy, but I'm a planner and it helps a lot.
  • I don't know anything about guar gum, but I use 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum in my protein shakes and it makes it the consistency of a milkshake. Available in the gluten free aisle, Amazon or iHerb.com.
  • I like mini quiches and they freeze really well: Add together: 5 egg whites 4 whole eggs 8oz turkey kielbasa, chopped 3/4 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced in half 1 green pepper, chopped 3/4 cup 2% cheddar cheese 1/4 cup AP flour 1/2 teaspoon salt Stir well. Spray a 12 cup muffin tin with Pam and divide egg mixture evenly. Bake…
  • Creamy Green Chile Chicken Chili 1lb boneless skinless chicken breasts 2 cans great white beans 1 15oz can corn 2 4oz cans green chilies 3 cups chicken stock 1/2 tsp chili powder 1 tsp salt 1 tsp cumin 3/4 tsp oregano 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper Put in crock pot and stir. Cook for 8 hours on low or four hours on high. After…
  • I second Emilybites.com and also DashingDish.com. Some recipes are free, but I pay the $7 a month to get all of them. Her zucchini lasagna is heavenly
  • Three. 80lbs each time. Sigh. Working on the 4th so there won't be a 5th.
  • So grateful for all the advice. I just need to do something. Maybe I will try getting closer to 2000 cals and seeing how I do. Small steps. I am so tired of working so hard over months and months to lose and then gaining it back within weeks. I will try to have more willpower as well and not give in to every craving. It…
  • I give in to cravings. I always know the night before I'm going to start because I'm ravenous. It usually doesn't show up much on the scale and you need a few more calories during TOM anyway, so do what's natural.
  • After I gain a bunch of weight back, I'm really motivated to take it off. The 12lbs I gained from October to November took me 3 months to lose and that was frustrating. MFP gives me 2000 calories to lose 1lb a week because I am 6'3 (female), but I think that seems way too high, so I eat closer to 1300-1500 and I feel…
  • If they're for a salad, I leave them raw. For a hot dish, I just microwave them for 30-45 seconds. Gets them warm and they're not watery at all.
  • I pre-log for the weekends and then stick to it. It often includes beer or nachos, but I have already logged it all, so I know when to stop. Don't undo all the hard work you're putting in during the week. Plan your weekends in advance as much as possible and you will find it easier to stick to your goal.
  • I've lost and gained 80 lbs like three times and my upper arms look horrible and I'm only in my early 40's. I am too embarrassed to wear anything but sleeves that cover them.
  • I don't run, but had pain running down my leg all summer. Finally saw a chiropractor and he urged me to do cobra stretches. It's a yoga pose where you lie down on your tummy and push your upper body up with straight arms. Hold 15 seconds. I did three sets of ten each day and am out of pain now. You don't have to suffer!…
  • I'm the queen of pre-logging. Sometimes two weeks in advance. Then I can check macros and nutrients and make sure I'm within limits and hitting targets. Sometimes I will end up making minor changes to my day, but it helps me stay on track seeing my plan in advance.
  • Butterball is really good and only 25 cals per slice. Don't get the thin and crispy stuff. Burns too fast and rips easily.
  • One oz Raspberry Stoli (vodka) with sugar free Red Bull. 65 calories.
  • My current pet peeve is the jackhole two doors down with the brand new LOUD Camaro who idles in his driveway for ten minutes every time he goes anywhere. Even super early in the morning. It wakes all of us up and the dogs go crazy. First off, it's Texas and you don't need to warm up your car. Next, it's a brand new car and…
  • No kids here and two dogs who go nuts when the doorbell rings so not even one piece of candy for me today.
  • I am back here for the THIRD time, so I can relate. I'm going to lose this weight and keep it off this time no matter what! I'm going to add you.
  • Native Detroiter, but live in Austin now. Feel free to add.
  • Early 40's here. Diary open to friends. Feel free to add.
