Have you found sleep an important part of your weight loss? I know CICO but have you found that too much or too little sleep has affected your choices, motivation, whatever?

Love and marriage,
Horse and carriage,
Sleep and weightlossage.
Or something like that.1 -
Sleep deprivation messes with your hunger hormones and thus makes it harder to stay in a calorie deficit.
My stress and munchie levels are ever so much more manageable when I get adequate sleep and regular exercise. On the rare occasions when I don't get enough sleep and am battling low-leptin / high-ghrelin fueled cravings, sometimes I give in and sometimes I use cognitive behavioral techniques to resist.

Yep. If I don't sleep well I don't make good food decisions.3

Same here. When I'm very tired, I reach for food to comfort me. Not good.1

I tend to see my weight loss only after I catch up on sleep. I think how little I sleep most nights messes with my hormones. I definitely see a direct connection6

I am a pretty sleep deprived mom. As long as I get enough sleep (at least 5h of broken up sleep) to get me through my day and workouts I'm good. Poor sleep hadn't affected my choices or motivation at all.2

Me too. Sleep deprived mom...as long as I manage 5 or 6 broken hours of sleep I feel on top of the world
I do feel like I have more energy for workouts if I can snag a bit more though1 -
yep if I dont get enough sleep I want to eat everything in the house.0

Sleep comes first. I have no business exercising or trying to maintain a calorie deficit on inadequate sleep. The leptin and ghrelin effects are real. And real strong. I've never noticed ill effects of too much sleep.3
