It serves 12 so if you make it you will need to divide it into 12 servings. The calories they list is for 1 serving. 2 servings would be like eating a nacho supreme from Taco Bell, per their own description. Hope that helps!

Zumba is good and there is a Dancing with the Stars video out there that is very fast. Lots of kicking and dancing. I can't keep up with it yet so it is waiting for me to get faster! :)

Crystal Light gives me headaches. It very well could be the artificial sweetners. I have cut my artificial intake down to almost nothing although I do like a Pibb Zero occassionaly. I either work in the real thing or use Agave Nectar! Try using regular sugar (cut in half, if you must) and see if the headaches go away. Good…

Regretfully need to remove myself from the challenge. My weight has flucuated between 210-217 since the month of October. After changing calories, altering exercise, mixing things up, I have decided to force this plateau for another month or so and then kick things into high gear again. I've done some research, talked to…

Welcome! and good luck! I, too, am a people watcher/analyzer. What better way to stay in denial than to focus on others issues rather than my own?? Now that I am losing weight, I still people watch but from a total different vantage point; walking instead of sitting!! :)

For sure see your doctor about this. My daughter has EIA and AIA (allergy induced asthma). Spring time is terrible for her. She plays soccer so she takes a few puffs off her inhaler before practice and games and she is fine. She has played soccer all of her life and this just was diagnosed 6 months ago. She is 20. So it…

I took Crestor and had headaches as well as feeling as if someone was poking me with a needle in my legs and arms. Crestor is one of the stronger ones. I am now on Pravachol and have had ZERO complications. Soyos...in an ideal world we would all be healthy and wouldn't need to have this discussion. Statins have saved…

This sounds so goooood! I'll be trying this soon!

I know I am jumping on this thread late but was browsing through the comments looking for similar information. In June of last year I was told that my cholesterol was way to high. I don't remember the number but it wasn't healthy and actually scared me. I have been fighting going on cholesterol meds for the past 2 years…

Miss BayouBabie up there ^^^^^ shared this post with me and I sooooooo needed to hear this today. I just recalculated my goals this morning...not because I was forcing a plateau but because I had to be realistic about my goals and life at this time. I wanted to maintain rather than gain....so it appears I am on the right…

Thanks for sharing. Those companies go on the assumption that the average consumer is stupid, in a hurry and won't stop to read a label. I was guilty of that for a long time. I think consumers are realizing that just because big company says it is so...it ain't necessarily so!! Bleck! I fed that crap to my kids! Not really…

My father has been undergoing chemo for the last year and one of the side effects was sores that would form in his mouth and throat. Similar to thrush but not exactly. One of the things that he was able to tolerate was yogurt and it was highly recommended by his oncologist that he eat it. Not only does it soothe his mouth…

Sounds great! Thanks for sharing!

I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic and was given lots of good info from my doc to get things under control with diet rather than going on meds. The American Diabetes Association says that 15 carbs equal one serving. They recommend having 3 servings of carbs with each meal and one serving of carbs with snacks. (45 carbs at…

Is there life after MFP?? Beginning, middle and end of journey and beyond will include MFP. This is a life style change and I will continue to use the tools that work for me!

Low carbs, high protein can lead to kidney damage. I KNOW that is a controversial statement because there are so many on the Adkins diet but it IS a reality and it DOES happen. Thanks, no....

Are they researchers or are they selling something? Because honestly, it all comes back to the amount of cals that goes into your body and the amount of cals that are burned through exercise. Those are generalized statements. Obviously, what works for one doesn't work for another. Moderation in what you eat, and exercise,…

Welcome!! You are in one of my favorite cities in the whole world! :) I was born in Nashville and have lots of family there! Glad you are here on MFP. Friend me if you would like. Be warned...I keep it real! :)

If I could highlight, bold and increase the font on number 7 I would sooooooo do it! I see so many people not even getting close to there recommended 1,200 and they are basically starving themselves. What they don't realize is while they are starving themselves (a habit they surely can't continue for a lifetime) their…

bumpin' this! I'm always looking for something new! Thanks!

I count anything under 45 calories as my daily intake for water. My doctor shared this with me when I told her of my aversion to drinking loads of water. Now, with that being said, the best liquids for your body is water. Drink it slower but more often. It gagged me as well but now, for the most part, that is what I crave…

Put your chicken and the rest of the ingredients in your crock pot before you head out to work. When you get home, shred the chicken (leave it in the crock pot) and wrap it up! :) Awesome dinner!

Thanks for the ideas Cory! I'll give them a try! :)

YAY!!! Go us! We are moving on up! I am going to add the FB link and share with my friends! My problem with water is that I don't like the taste, or lack there of!! I drink it but I don't like it and I sometimes feel like it is punishment..LOL It's a mind thing and I am getting to the point that I just try not to think…
