Beautiful-- reminds me of Madonna's "Vogue" video

If you go with a Garmin 910, that is an older version of a tri-watch and runs about 180. A pretty solid choice, and if you should want to use it for running/biking you're all set! It also works if you do open water swimming, and will give you your lap times.

I follow you on instagram and I *know* you don't photoshop your stuff! :) Great job!

I think that you'll find that these message boards are somewhat biased against people who have had weight loss surgery of any kind. In fact, I used the ((anecdotal)) information from these message boards to come up with several excuses as to why I shouldn't have any type of surgery. I lost 70lbs and was still obese. I went…

Yes. Your hormones are affected by insulin production, and insulin production is affected by the foods we eat. I do better with less processed foods and less sugar/processed carbohydrates. I have also recently begun to check my blood sugar after meals to see how different foods affect my glucose levels even though I am not…

I had that, and they determined that it was "FAI" and a labral tear. You can do hip strengthening and stretching exercises depending on what muscles are weak. A physical therapist will be able to assess you and help determine what exercises you should be doing. They did tell me that "most women should be doing clamshells…

Do what you like best for now. Any activity is good activity, and when you're just starting out with an exercise regimen you don't have to go all-out. Try out different things- spinning, yoga, elliptical, racquetball, cycling, jumping rope, basketball, running, rollerblading, etc. The world is your oyster and exercise…

There's a groupon for it btw! If you use the code JUMBO3, you get 20% off

I like About Time birthday cake flavor. It's also sweetened with stevia.

You could also try "chamois butter". Cyclists use it to protect against chafing. Also, make sure you are wearing shorts that don't have a seam up the middle (cycling shorts don't have a seam in the middle, and also have padding so you don't have to use your folded up towel). The seam causes issues for me.

"So, should I buy a mirror?"

If you only tried counseling with one counselor a couple of times, perhaps it wasn't a good fit. It took me a year of therapy before I felt okay. Maybe try a different therapist. You won't know if something works unless you give it an earnest try.

I have it. :) I was diagnosed when I was 25, and I am 31 now.

Because I deserve to have a healthy and fit body. And I deserve to be able to keep up with my athletic friends. And I deserve to perform to the best of my abilities in whatever athletic venture I choose to pursue. I deserve these things. For the longest time I did not believe that I deserved them, but now I do and it is a…

Get up, get moving. Getting out of bed and being with people will help. My bingeing usually happened when I was by myself. Going to class may actually prevent you from doing it. Furthermore, at some point we all have to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and take responsibility for our own actions. It is far, far…

I used to do this. I started therapy and it has really helped. It's called self sabotage and it happens because of an underlying belief that you don't deserve something, or a belief that you aren't good enough etc. Something is happening that is keeping you from achieving your goals. If you can, I would see a therapist to…

I had a lot of stomach problems, so I don't take metformin anymore. It wasn't worth it. :(

Emerald cocoa roast almonds. Or chocolate, but I actually like those almonds so much more. 4g of sugar, too!

I may or may not have flipped out on my coworkers last week.... It just got old because every morning we eat breakfast together, and I just really like eggs. They keep me full. But, every morning I hear some rude *kitten* comment about what I am eating and I couldn't take it anymore. I said "You know, it's bullsh*t that…

Yup. We are both atheist science geeks.

Instead of doing "low carb" I decided to do "more protein" and it seemed like the higher protein I was eating, in order to stay within my daily goals I was just naturally eating less carbs. Plus I feel fuller for longer than when I was eating more carbs.

QFT! I was really afraid that posting this I would either get *crickets* or a bunch of advice that doesn't make sense. I <3 all of you!

^This. Also: Donkey kicks (with weights if you have a machine) weighted step-ups with knee lift hamstring glute raise (If you can do hamstring glute raises without feeling like your whole *kitten* is on fire, then your butt shouldn't be sharp or saggy) Good mornings Also, if you like to run, sprint drills will help develop…

Farmers walks are exactly what I am doing. I do those on a different day than deadlifts. I do them on arms day. What other grip strength exercises are there? I'm not opposed to a hook grip. I didn't know it existed, so there's that. haha!
