This Italian American gal could NOT live without pasta. Just watch the portions, eat slowly, choose your sauce wisely, and enjoy! I like Garofolo Pasta. Also - if I REALLY don't want to cook, but I'm craving gnocchi (I know - it's not pasta)... sometimes I'll get that Trader Joes Gnocchi alla Sorrentina & add some fresh…

Awesome - thanks to you both! :) Just changed the batteries... if things are still crazy - I'll totally look into your suggestions! Cheers!

You MIGHT check Title Nine for bottoms? I got an email from them - they're having a sale & I've had pretty good luck with their suits! Loving that top & I also totally give ya a "high five" for putting yourself out there & asking for honest feedback! That takes courage, girl! Well done & you're looking great. Happy…

Nice! Initially... my "Why" was also for working horses! Life had some strange twists, and although horses are still a HUGE factor in my life & weight/fitness is important for that... my new "Why" is 100% about racing on sailboats - #1: to "make weight" for the Nationals & #2: to be agile/fit enough to hopefully sail…

Sounds somewhat familiar! I went from 145 to 121 on MFP... stopped logging because I was doing so well & had a lot of motivation to maintain. Well - time went by, things change, I lost my motivation & just found I wasn't really paying a lot of attention. Back up to 138.5 (as of this morning)! I'm not really focusing too…

I agree with levitateme - that it needs to come from within. Everyone is a little different in what it is that gets them going. I find that for me, I need a goal that requires a certain level of fitness to really kick me in the butt. The fact is, I love food... some of the most fun evenings I have with my husband are…

OP - if that's you in the pic... um, you probably don't have much "competition." Well built, good looking, fit young man. Just sayin'... (By the way - I am NOT hitting on ya... happily married old lady here! Haha! Just stating a fact.)

I blame popular culture. It has wired us to feel inferior & insecure in general. The fashion & beauty industry has targeted women for decades. They're finally (sad to say) going after men, now. Whatever they can do to get us to feel crummy... so that we have to buy "this, that, and the other" product to improve our looks.…

Welcome back! I, too, am rejoining the team. ;) Lost about 23lbs... and gained about 10lbs back since I stopped tracking. I'm not the BEST at commenting on every little thing with MFP (busy busy busy - haha!)... but I'm happy to give a fellow MFP buddy a kick in the backside & some encouragement when we are slacking off. I…

Honestly.... I have SERIOUSLY considered going to one of those "clothing optional" hot spring places... but I just can't bring myself to do it. I am mortified I would run into someone I know!!! Can you imagine??? I can just see me & my stark white butt nervously heading out to the sun bathing area & running into an…

When I started, I was about 140lbs (I'm 5'4")... considered a "Normal Weight" per BMI - but was pretty out of shape. Also - had a lot of visible fat on my booty/thighs (saddle bags - lovely... lol). I had some cellulite, too. After starting MFP, I noticed change after only a month - just noticed the cellulite fading, and…

I know folks say they you're stuck with them... but let me tell you - mine faded A LOT after I lost weight! Also - I've heard mixed reviews about vitamin E oil (or lotion w/ vit E oil in it) - but it certainly can't HURT! :) There's hope - at least in my experience!!!!
