I go the next day. Better to let motivation build and not use it up if it's in short supply. I also have experience in overtraining, so I know low motivation to be one of the symptoms. One missed workout in ten won't impair your game, but nine in ten will.

A recovery drink right after exercise speeds the recovery. A meal about an hour later is another must! Chocolate milk with a banana is almost as good but I find the recovery drinks more convinient.
