What Diet Plan Are You Following?

Lots of vegetables, berries, lean but tasty meats, including wild salmon today, fruits, green tea, nuts....as highly dense in nutrients as I can find. This approach has served to help me with my cravings. Maybe because I'm really feeding my body good stuff, it's responding by dropping a little weight and not complaining that it's hungry0

Body Type Diet but counting calories. Basically for my type tons of veggies, fish and poultry, and some whole grains, fruit and low-fat dairy. Really not much differently than I've been trying to eat all year, but somehow the specific guidelines help me. It's just my own weirdness but I do better "on a diet" than just plain counting calories. For me, I really do need that realization that I shouldn't be eating something because it's not on "the plan." My boyfriend and I had a conversation about this last night and it was really interesting to actually vocalize what it's taken me a while to realize about myself.0

Yup.
And for me "eat right" is loosely based on Michael Pollan's suggestion: eat food, not too much, mostly plants.0 -

I'm just counting calories, trying to change eating habits bit by bit as well. Of course I am upping my exercise, starting with C25K, on week two now, due to go out but it's raining. I better get used to that, being from Scotland and all!0

I'm not dieting I'm changing my lifestyle/habits.
I am calorie counting to get a better idea of what I eat, I have cut out most of the crappy foods I used to eat(Still sneak some in now and then) and trying to improve what I do eat.
Also increasing my exercise.
Perfectly said for what I did to lose 52+ pounds. Hit goal in April and currently 4+ pounds below goal.0 -

Counting calories and excercising. What is wild is I am looking at the next four or five days ahead and wondering where i will get my excercise time. In the past that wouldn't even be a thought. So i guess i am going to get up earlier.0

I posted a reply the other day to a similar topic, so I am copying and pasting...
I am using the "common sense aproach. That includes:
1. Move your body. Yes, you can lose weight without exercising but it isn't the healthiest route. Being sedentary will hurt you in the long run. This can include just walking, stretching, and other low impact exercise, or you can go crazy with strength training and whatnot. Do what you like and what interests you enough where you'll keep doing it.
2. Eat real food. I try and only eat real food and if the item has an ingredient list, I know what those ingredients are. I cook mostly from scratch for everyday meals using real ingredients like vegetables, meat, oils, rice, cheese, etc. I am the anti-Hungry Girl, lol.
3. Eat junk in moderation and taking a cue from Michael Pollan, if you are going to eat junk, make it yourself. Chances are it will be much healthier than pre-made stuff and it will taste better. I still make from-scratch cookies, brownies, etc. but I eat very little of what I make, set aside some for my husband, and give away the rest (bring it to the vultures in my office).
Using these three principles, I have lost almost 30 pounds, and this approach just makes sense to me. Banning certain food groups doesn't make sense to me and my diet, and there are foods (and alcohol!) I can't avoid for the rest of my life because I love them too much! When I do eat food that is truly crap, I keep the portion size in moderation and don't do it often.0 -
I'm just eating within my calorie range, moving a little more, and cutting out soda0

Counting calories and just watching myself. I'll let myself to cheat every friday. Staying under 1200 calories, portion control, watching junk food...just the regular0
