  • . My goal is very simple, lose a little body fat and just be a tad bit leaner and stronger. Not looking for a 6 pack or major definition. Just a few inches slimmer
  • So not sure why everyone is against it? If u can follow a program online that gives you the exercises what is the difference if I write it out and follow it off paper vs online? I want it written down so I don't have to relay on the internet e.g. So when traveling I always will have my guideline to follow! Plus many…
  • . Oh that would be so helpful. Yes I'm more on a re: beginner, lol, I like simple basic to the point exercises. I'd like to do 3 total body 30-40 min sessions a week and 2 cardio which I will do les mills combat for.
  • No haven't tried those. I just use gas x. If I stay away from them all I won't be eating much, lol. Like I said above. Chicken, rice, bananas, egg, and carrots and celery! That's about it, lol

  • I'm 5.2 and 40. My heightest was 152 and 2 years ago I got to 113. I always was around 115 in my younger years. 120 when I married 16 years ago. 113 was hard to maintain and I had to be obsessive to stay there. I ghinkn118-120 is my comfort zone. I'm back up to 126 and working to get back to 120 and hopefully be able to…
  • Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. I have Chalean extreme but was looking for a different program. Kinda need a change.
  • No I don't. I do eat broccoli but not often and never a lot! I have no idea about my iodine is ? Never been tested from what I recall. I don't eat a lot of nuts in general as I have brittle teeth, lol so I stay away from anything hard or crunchie
  • No none of the drs I've seen will switch me to anything . I've tried and never succeed. Not sure why but up here in Canada they pretty much only give u synthroid
  • I'm on 112 mcg synthroid. Yes you are suppose to wait 1 hr before eating. My dr told me to just to take as soon as I wake, not to eat for 1 hr and wait another hr before taking any other supplements it meds. She also told me to stay away from soy. I hear many avoid gluten and I do for the most part but that's because my…
  • Ya I hear ya. I figured it out a few years ago when I was losing it initially but now it's like I'm completely lost. Things changed and of course in older
  • Yes true. I have a friend that does that. Not sure why it's never been suggested for me? But again if the drcwill ever return my call I will ask all these things
  • Thx u! No not anything, but picky! Lol. I'm not much of a meat fan, if I do eat any it's for dinner with the family otherwise I stick to eggs, cheese and yogurt and my shakes daily to get protein. I'll do tuna once in a while, today had salmon sandwiches... as for exercise I'm aiming for 4/5 days if I can I'll do 6/7.
  • Yes it gets counted in. I truly believe in all in moderation! I find in the beginning I went very strict and eliminated way too much and then it lead me to binge way more then I could handle! So for me working in these " treats" keeps me sane! I get where u r coming from with being consistent with strict logging. Last time…
  • Thx u . I cant find a dr that will switch my meds to anything else.... here in mb it's extremely hard! My dr never returned my call last week so I guess I'll call back on Monday. Diet wise I am pretty much gf, my son is celiac so the house is gf! Dairy on the other hand I do eat as I'm not much of a meat eater and use…
  • thx u. It's frustrating no doubt when others don't listen. I know my body and have delt with thyroid issues for 18 years! Only those that struggle will ever understand!
  • Thx. I have read that site and I find they just promote armour and I can't find a dr here that will prescribe it! I've been to 5 drs here and 2 endos. I have a appt to meet a new family dr in 2 weeks so we'll see what they say about my results. That will be dr 8! Ugh! I heard the o my way I can get help properly is by…
  • Aw thx but I seem to get no where with it! I've only had my levels optimal for one year out of 18! Drs just don't listen! When your tsh is low and t3 high u still get many hypo symptoms but yet they look at the tsh and say " oh it's good"... but what about the t3? What about the symptoms?
  • I got my results back and my ft3 is at the max. So not sure what she wanted to do about it as she hadn't called me back requarding it....
  • Thx. I have to say I pretty much am gluten free, my son is celiac ( I was tested too and don't have it) do we eat gluten free in our house 100%! My food choices are healthy ones. Eggs, cheese, tuna, rice crackers if I eat any, chicken, sometimes potatoes or rice. Tomatoes, avacadoes, celery, carrots, etc. once or twice…
  • Thx. Yes I do. I take them at 7 am on their own and don't eat for min 1 hr after. Any other supplements I take at night. I got my labs back today and high t3 so not sure what the dr will say till she gets back to me maybe tomorrow. As for carbs I don't eat bread, ( very rare) and don't do take out very often. I'm glad I…
  • I don't log on here. I created my own journal to log. As I have everything here on mfp that I eat in my logs already. I weight /measure my portion, I have all portions written out as I tend to be very repeatative with what I eat, so several days are the same. So when I plan my day I go vs k on here in my diary and grab…
  • Never heard of that...

  • And as I've said 1400 cals is not over eating!!!! Even if one day I creep up to 1500 it's nowhere enough that I would gain weight!!!!
  • Ya I hate Greek yogurt. I also love oatmeal and hot cereals but always need quick easy options too. I don't do cereal daily but there are times I do crave it and want to make sure I'm making the best choice when I do eat it

  • Special k I used to love and eat all the time then they changed it. The flakes are triple the size now....

  • For me it usually is. I have it on the go in the car. I just find when I was drinking it daily I stopped getting sick, so obviously it has a lot more vitamins and minerals in it then I've ever ate before! I used to get sick 3-4 times a year at least
  • I assume it's either they can't drink reg milk or they want the lower cals with it
in Cereal Comment by lin7604 October 2016
  • You totally confused me, lol. I think for me I went to coconut milk cause I needed something creamier and some flavour to my shakes. I think others just do it because it's lower cals and that's all.

  • I've never tried cashew milk.... I don't like almond milk and will use coconut in shakes etc but not to drink or in cereal, yuck. So not sure how cashew will taste but I'll try it. I have to watch carbs too as that's my weak spot! Big time! I get the best results when I keep them at bay and like to keep carbs for dinner.…

  • No dietary needs, I just tend to leave most of my carbs for dinner ( pasta, rice, etc) the more the better :)
