I'm also trying the low carb/Mediterranean style eating with regular exercise (when my back isn't being a pain). I am hoping to see results in my blood sugar at the end of the month. Been changing my way of eating for months but getting it done this Feb. This is what was suggested to me.

I gave my daughter a book called The Period Book, about that age. I told her the basics. Told her to read the rest in her time & we would talk about it. She is almost 12 yrs old now & will often come to me with weird questions. Could have been triggered by something she heard or saw. The best is to be honest.

Some invites are Reception ONLY then its ok. But if you have been invited to the wedding it would be rude to only go to the reception.

You sound a lot like me! In 2012 I lost 62 lbs - I have since gained some back on the plateau I had been on since July of 2012. I don't know what has changed...but this week the weight has started to come off. I have upped my calories & decreased my exercise due to a leg injury. Now I am still walking anywhere from 5-14…

you know how you do it? You just do... and why b'c this is a lifestyle change - NOT A DIET. And yes you will have amazing workout days with great food intake And you will have lazy days with terrible food - but you log it all - move on & keep going.

You DO NOT have to cut out bread. You do not have to cut out ANYTHING. You just need to make sure it's in your alloted macros & move forward. I drink - eat pasta - bread - whatever I want. And I have lost 62 lbs in 6 months. So you know what enjoy your bread. And enjoy your fruit & veggies.

Fantastic Job! I too started my journey March 5th. I am down similar to you. I didn't before pictures - so it's nice to see the huge difference on other people.

Butterball low sodium is my fav. Everyone in my family says it tastes like rubber but I can't stand to eat real bacon & all the fat on it. Makes me gag.
-
Everyone will say -- open your diary so we can see so we can suggest. My suggestion HIGH PROTEIN -- High Fiber - both keep you fuller longer & even though maybe higher in calories could possibly reduce your hunger.

Well the kids are back to school this week - so I need to find my house & find routine again. Lots of walking & drinking as much water as I can.
-
You are such an inspiration. I myself started this journey March 5th - in 5 months I lost 62 lbs. August I have lost all motivation and gained back a few lbs but I start again fresh Sept 6th. Thank you for your story.
