I am back to MFP again. I'm 47, also looking for new friends. I start out well, then lose momentum, then gain all lost weight back again. This time I will keep going!

I'm restarting- would love some new friends.

Great work! I can only imagine how much better you are feeling already!
-
Wonderful- congratulations, and the best of wishes on the next steps in your journey!

I'm 5'11- took about 30 pounds lost for most people to notice. My goal is 100 pounds, so nearly a third of my goal. I actually didn't dress differently for while too, so that may have had something to do with it. Clothes went from too tight to too baggy, but noone really noticed that change, it was only when I got better…

Best thing anyone told me...well, and sometimes they have to remind me...be patient with yourself! It took a while to gain the extra weight, it will take a while to shed it as well. Don't panic with ups and downs on the scale - you are in this for a lifetime of healthier eating and better care of yourself! Good luck!

Knew I needed to lose weight, and tried a few times through other plans. I failed ultimately with them even after losing some initially, but for some reason, this is working. Maybe because I can eat what I want as long as I track it, without feeling like I've failed or are "off plan" somehow. A friend recommended it. Free…

I don't intentionally have a cheat day, but I do religiously track what I eat.If I know I'm going somewhere and want to indulge, I try to do it sensibly and I also I try to do some sort of extra exercise to try to balance it out. If I happen to go over, then I may adjust a little over the next day or two, but I don't make…

Well-fitted shoes are a must- find a running store where the staff will look at how you walk/run, and fit you properly. Makes ALL the difference.

I had mine taken out about six years ago. I tried to control it with diet, but it didn't work. I actually found that starchy foods brought on attacks- potatoes, rice, etc. which is exactly what I was eating to avoid fats.... Surgery was quick- I was in and out in a day, and eating regular food the next day. I have had no…

Bump. Must try this!

I put on a blouse one day this week that I hadn't worn since fall. It's a fairly fitted cut. Not only was it loose, it was almost sloppy looking it was so loose. I can remember being concerned in the fall that it would gap at the buttons because it was too tight. I'm seeing my numbers going down, but this was kind of a…

Stealing this- it's GREAT! Thanks for your work!

You look gorgeous, and there's no doubt you'll make your goal! Inspiring!
-
Took me 3-4 weeks to start losing. Also, be sure to take measurements. I lost 24 inches even though I thought the numbers on the scale should be moving faster.
-
Wow, you look great. I'm guessing you must be feeling great too....
-
Wow- congratulations! You look great! And you are a true inspiration- thanks!

Best. Topic. Ever. You are all amazing and inspiring!

Had mine taken out in 2006- no problems at all, only some short local pain about two weeks later that my surgeon basically explained as a small stone that was already out of my gall bladder in the duct to my liver. After that, no pain at all. I am able to eat whatever I want with no issues.

What an inspiration! You look wonderful!
