  • I just finished todays insanity workout - i'm only in week 2 and I needed to see this! Phew it's a workout like no other. Great progress!
  • My personal trainer told me that intense weightlifting can burn just as many, if not more, calories than cardio so I wouldn't assume it's an extremely inflated number. I also use a HRM and personally I don't burn as many calories with weight lifting as I do cardio (for example, 45 minutes of intense cardio I burn between…

  • I don't like the type that are like briefs with control top tummy panels but I do love the tank top like ones. There is one that scoops down under the bra in the front but has full back coverage that I swear by - wear one underneath my clothing every day to work. It keeps the belly fat smooth and they are not nearly as…

  • Note to self: NEVER mention how many calories I eat per day on the forums - because regardless someone will have an issue with it. I've also been doing intermittent fasting for 2 months now - still alive, feeling great and losing weight. It's not for everyone but why all the hate for those that are having success using it.…
  • That is great! I am also 5'8" and have similar measurements - I have been doing HIIT using the elliptical but have been reading that it can also be done with strength training and I'm interested in giving it a try. I meet with my trainer tomorrow and just may ask her about it..thanks for posting! Congrats, way to go :)
  • Thank you Jacksonpt!! I just went to check my profile and sure enough I had my daily activity set for active when in reality I have a desk job AND I was inputting exercise calories....oops! Thanks again for taking the time to post this
  • You look fabulous - great job!!
  • I have been doing this for three weeks now and have loved it so far. I ran across the BBC documentary Eat, Fast, Live Longer (highly recommend, you can find it online). I don't look at it as a diet but a way of life...i've been losing weight because I have weight to lose obviously but the other health benefits are the real…
  • I love seeing these picutres...SO motivating  The photo on the left is me in November 2012 at 234 pounds; the one on the right is last week at 201 pounds :) Gotta keep it goin!
  • I work out both at home and the gym and I get about the same results calories burn wise according to my HRM. Whatever makes it easier, more convenient and not as easy to talk yourself out of doing it is the best way to go
  • Well I'm not really sure but I can give you a reference point :) When I do 60 minutes of cardio (fairly intense, HR gets up to the 165-171 range for a good portion) I burn roughly 620-650 calories. Obviously weight/age will make that number vary but I hope that at least helps.
  • Looking GREAT! Congrats!
  • Ground Turkey, brown rice, pico de gallo and guac - plus some hot sauce :) delish!
