I use a combination. The scale discourages me from losing weight. I weigh once a week on Friday and use a measuring tape to check results midweek. Works much better.

Hey thanks for this info....I figured I would need to eat 1400 calories a day and burn 3250 to lose 20 pounds in 45 days. That is a reasonable goal. I already burn about 2500 a day and eat about 1600. I can do this for 45 days. Thank you

You can eat as little as 500 and be fine.....shoot for around 1500. the 2500 is the top of the range...sodium is in everything. You want to make sure you look at the potassium. It could actually be 4500 and still be good. Higher is better when it comes to potassium.
