If you do not know her well, maybe a giftcard to a store where you know she shops or coffee shop where she buys coffee? Unless you know her taste in jewelry and what scents she likes/dislikes in perfume/lotions, etc, I would stay away from anything like that. Giftcards are not as romantic though, so maybe as a last resort.…

Ditto on youtube, there are tutorials on everything!! Plus product reviews.... And people show swatches of makeup colors. It is probably going to be a bit of trial and error to figure out what you like, but it is fun. And you can always use it as motivation to reach one of your goals (5 lbs = new lipstick, etc). Don't get discouraged - continue doing all the right stuff for your body, it is bound to pay off. I was here before and lost 33 lbs, with a loss of 1.5 lbs most weeks, but after I lost 25 lbs, the weight loss became slower, but I still lost smth every 2 weeks or so. I agree with everybody, just pick one and stick with it. I weigh myself at home on the scale I bought, sometimes they weigh me at the gym, also dr's office.... Machines or HRM... I know there is a lot of talk about this, but I figure right now I burn about 300 cals in 30 min during cardio. Sodium and fiber for me, I find those the most useful. I agree with everybody about sodium. A few years ago I made a big effort of eating lower sodium foods and lost weight just because of that (that was without exercise even). P.S. Also, MFP gives me a goal of 2,500 sodium per day, but I try to stay at about 1,500.
