Try googling articles on it. Google is your friend.

Buying new clothes (when I have dropped 2 clothing sizes) and I have a whiteboard with weight loss by kg so I can visually see my progress everyday

I didn't take it as a personal attack. Read what you wrote and quoted. "Less veggies, fruit and legumes? (really people, come on)".
-
Good for you. I eat a lot of vegetables thanks, and get my all daily fiber from them. We are not anti vegetables and fruit. People can make their own decisions on what to put in their mouth. Just because you read it on the internet doesn't make everything a fact.

I haven't lost muscle, actually I've gained it (I do swim, quite impressed with my quads and biceps actually) and lost weight. I love eating this way, not a fad. My macros are: 75% fat 20% protein and 5% carbs. Oh and my blood pressure has gone from 130/90 to 115/70. Had all bloods done and are all normal (weren't the best…

If only we could accurately calculate every single calorie burned. Unfortunately not.
-
I don't believe the body necessarily loses one pound for every so many calories (3500 or whatever a particular article sites) burned. Weight loss isn't linear.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAeZZbpi8Ow look into chair cardio or even water walking... if you are able to move your legs at all

Try exercising
-
NO.
-
Nope it does not increase my appetite. But in general I think any exercise increases appetite. This study may apply to some people but definitely not me. I am losing weight doing it :)
-
I agree. Try using the spa after as well to help your muscles relax :)

Unless you are from the UK or Australia or NZ where we drive on the left so we swim on the left ;)

Maybe because swimming breaststroke is harder as you expend more calories than freestyle? Also some people don't have the correct technique or maybe haven't been taught how? Where I swim people either do breaststroke (older generation) or freestyle. I swim all styles but mainly freestyle as I find it is great for doing…

Definitely try swimming or water walking or water aerobics if you like the water, at your local pools :)

Maybe there is a motivation for no sugar like cuts out junk food... doctor is trying to be tactful? In regards to other replies, one month without sugar isn't such an oddball/crazzzyy thing to try. There's still fruit.... No point saying the doctor isn't right when the patient has not tried and seen the results yet :)

Walking is great. Do what works for you and ignore all this stuff about running being better. Any movement is better than none a nd we all need to start somewhere :-)

Don't eat anything with high glucose corn syrup in it :D
-
I only eat free range around $3.50 per half dozen in NZ, so $2.86 US

Do you weigh your food or are you just eye balling or using measuring cups? do you not include certain foods because you think they have little calories or are "free" foods? Because if everything you said is true you would have to be losing weight.
-
Yep, but it's better than having overwhelming anxiety not doing anything.
-
There's nothing wrong with using a bike so long as you get your heart rate up (measure with hrm), especially if you have an ankle issue like me :) Mixing up different exercises helps as well.
-
You don't need to justify yourself to me, you know in your heart what is true.
-
READ the advice given and give it a try. To be honest looking at your food diary I would not say you've been trying really hard, its been one week and there was fast food in there a lot.
-
Cut out most of the junk (I looked at your food diary) and weigh your food (don't eye ball and be honest in your diary). Try using a heart rate monitor when you exercise (mfp is just an estimate of cals burnt). Drink 2 litres of water a day. Come back in two weeks and report your progress.

My mum telling me that my current bf (of over 5 years) would leave me if I didn't lose weight, because "he's in a band so other girls are interested in him too" :(

this kick her out. block her number. Cut your losses about the money, you won't get it back.
