  • sorry man, I agree with skylark. Alas, the period is a pain, it comes when your body says its time, no way to rush it.
  • WOW you look so much younger!
  • Wow that is in fact my story. I LOVE this post!
  • My guess is that you should eat more protien's, whole grains that kind of thing. Most days you were under on protien, (except the junk food days), so I think maybe a healther source of protiens would help? Also, I usually eat after my workout too. Eat a bit before, then my breakfast or dinner comes right after, no reason…
  • you may want to open your diary so we can see what you are eating to better advise.
  • What a great story. Thank you so much for sharing it!
  • Wow you look fantastic. Congratulations!
  • I started going to a trainer specifically to learn how to use kettlebells. I find them much more interesting than dumbells, and I like the workouts better. I would see a trainer or take a class because form is incredibly important. I have had a lot of success with them, my arms, legs and abs are SO much tighter now than…
  • Wow congratulations, he looks great! All that hard work totally pays off!
  • My original goal was 125, but I hit 134 a few weeks ago and I am pretty happy with the way I look. I want to tighten up a bit, but as far as weight goes, I think I may be done. I have the same problem as you though, all my weight goes into my tummy, so it is the last part of me to lose. Unfortunately it makes me look…
  • mfcopine, you're right acrtually. No matter how much weight I lose everywhere else (and I kid you not, I have almost 0 fat on my legs and arms now) my tummy always seems to look like I am with child. Till now I have been focused on just being healthy, but obviously if this bothers me so much, I think I should talk to my…
  • Thanks so much guys. My logical brain is totally with everything everyone is saying. I appreciate it. Obviously my emotional brain is a bit behind. I really appreciate the support. Health is the point, and also, some people are really dumb!!! I swear to god, being overwieight my whole life has taught me one thing for sure.…
  • Also, i love your pic welbert
  • ROFL Welbert OMG that was so ****ing funny, I literally guffawed. Thank you so much for the uplifting and macabre joke.
  • I just got a fitbit a week or so ago and I love it, it tracks everything, calories, miles, steps. I am now constantly in competition with myself to get more steps each day, walk up more floors, etc etc. Great way to stay motivated!
  • what a fantastic post, thanks so much for sharing it!
  • I added more high protien high fiber foods to accomodate higher calorie intake. Beans and Quinoa are both good options. Quinoa is my favourite because its very very flexible and can be used to replace a variety of pasta's and grains. So you can eat yummy stuff, high calorie, high nutrition, and low crap. :)
  • Nice job! And some great advice! Thanks!
  • what he said
  • Also, what she said. It would help if you opened up your diary. Sometimes it helps to have an outside source view your intake and provide helpful critiques (or not obviously if it isnt required) but it would probably really help.
  • According to most of the articles and studies I have read, going over in calories in general one day a week does not hurt you or your weight loss at all. However, that overage of calories does not take alcohol into consideration. Unfortunately alcohol is absorbed and metabolized differently by your body than other foods.…
  • Keep in mind that if you are on any medication that alters your heart rate that will affect the calories that your HRM says you burn.
  • Well you should expect (or hope for) your trainer to ask you a lot of questions about what your goals are (do you want to run a 5K or just get into shape), your current activity level, your medical history in terms of chronic illnesses. My two cents is, just make sure they ask you about injuries you have had in the past.…
  • I absolutely hate lifting, so I tried a bunch of things and nothing worked. I started doing kettlebells and I love it! They work you hard, take up a lot less time, and you get a great cardio work out as well. Just a word of warning, if you decide to go that route, bypass Jillian Michaels dvd, its not very good.
  • In terms of what your caloric intake should be, MFP should be telling you that when you set your goals. Usually b/w 1200 and 1450 (I have found that the 1450 worked better for me) + eating back exercise calories. It would help to see what you are eating, so you may want to open your diary up. I know a lot of people have…
  • I drink a LOT of tea. It used to be sweetened tea, then I realised that it was wasted calories. (I am not a huge fan of liquid calories), so it was one of the small changes I made last month. No more sweetened tea. To be honest, the first few days were kinda gross. Now though its great, I make it at home, drink it when I…
  • holy *bleep* you look amazing! Congratulations on your success!
  • What a timely post. I was just thinking this morning how unmotivated I was feeling. I have been trying to get 40 minutes of elliptical in a day, and then 1/2 hour of running in every other day, and then doing strength training for different muscles every day. In truth, I am feeling a bit worn down and beat. I take a day…
  • I find that I lose one or the other. In the begining I was losing weight, then I plateaued at about 147lbs, and I was starting to get really disheartened. Then I thought, hey, maybe I should measure myself. I had lost inches everywhere. Then I started losing weight again, I hit 136 last week, but my inches remained exactly…
