I am at Stage 5 - the early stages are pretty quick compared to the later ones... I work at least 45 hours a week and I have 3 kids (4 1/2, 3, and 15 months) so I'm trying to balance being healthy/fit with all of my responsibilities. With only 24 hours in a day I'm trying to figure out how to get it all in and not have an…

Perfect timing on the thread! I was running and then got into heavy lifting a few months back (NROL4W) and just about stopped running... I signed up for my first 1/2 in April so I am looking to find a good balance of running and lifting so I don't loose anything! Add me as a Friend!

Why did you stop being a vegetarian and what will help you stick with it this go around? I don't know what a keto diet is (and I'm too lazy to google it), but I'm wondering if picking a way of eating that is sustainable would be the most effective change you could make?

I noticed Rogue doesn't offer a lat pull down attachment/option - I'm wondering if I will miss out not having that? or cross over cables? I know I don't need something super heavy duty b/c this chick isn't likely to ever lift super heavy (I'm lifting heavy for me though). Just trying to figure out what will allow me the…

Thanks for the great resource! It helps me understand what I need to do now in order to get to where I want to be

Thanks, all. This makes sense... So I will focus on getting my %BF down and then worry about building muscle.
-
@eelkha2 - Thanks, but I would have to agree with the other posters (I'd be reducing the work I'm doing rather than increasing my workload.) I did start out by doing a lot of body resistance work and loved it but I wanted to progress to heavier lifting....

Thanks to all who replied.... but where are the heavy lifters? I was hoping to get more advice/recommendations?

Do you have the box checked for the negative calorie adjustments?
-
Mdizzie - no target budget... Just not so much that my hubby will ***** a lot and make me want to hit him with a dumb bell! I know I want free weights vs machines and resistance bands bc I'd like to heavy lift. I also know I'm going to be working out alone so safety is a consideration too....

Doc - Great idea! thx!

Isha_12 - I'm not even sure how to answer that question! I'm 5'7 and 153 give or take, which puts my BMI in normal range... When I started this journey my goal was to lose weight and get to between 143-148... however, I thinking I'm leaning more in the direction of building muscle and worrying less about the scale and more…

I have with my Vivofit and FR220... I thought my device was defective but replacement does the same thing... Makes me have less faith in the Vivofit...

a.) I generally only do 30 min of exercising (unless its running, then I try to go out as long as I can) but I make it an intense 30 min (I use a lot of Jillian Michaels stuff) - it helps with motivation b/c I tell myself, its JUST 30 minutes! I can do 30 minutes! or if I'm not buying it... b.) I tell my self if 1 get 15…

I was trying to stay away from the powders and bars b/c I'm not 100% sure what is in all of them and how readily my body would be able to access/use the protein.... I know just enough about nutritious/food to be dangerous and haven't really had a chance to dive into things to find the "Truth." I (Obviously) don't eat…

I was just wondering the same thing... I did a 3 mile run today and I'm already really under calories... doing another 30 min of kick *kitten* cardio is only going to put me further in the whole... Where are you in the program? I'm Ph 2 5/6

I'm SolDancr - feel free to add me everyone

Pre-baby I lost 25lbs doing various JM dvds, especially 30DS and Ripped in 30... Now that I"m trying to loose the baby weight I decided to try JM's Body Rev b/c I've had such a good experience w/her and I know too many people who bought things like Insanity and P90X etc. and struggled w/the intensity and time commitment...…

HeyB - done! Audra - feel free to connect with me on Garmin connect as well – I am looking for more connections so I can stay motivated… 3Rmomma is my screen name.

That is a great question... where are the wise ones????

I stopped using my BMF about a year ago when I found out I was pregnant w/my 3rd... I just started to get back into the fitness game again and ended up purchasing a Garmin VIvofit for two reasons - one it is more inconspicuous and two no monthly fees. The BMF was a good tool, but I don't think it is worth the monthly…

Guess I never really thought about it as anything but wet and cold.... which it likely will be since the high for Sunday is supposed to be 49.... but you are right - I need to think of it as fun - like when I was a kid!

I think I'm most worried I'm not going fast ENOUGH.... now that I realize I"m not supposed to be all out of breath when I run (what a revelation!)
