I know a good number of ladies that do the Body Beast program from Beach body. Yes, it is marketed toward men but weights are weights. Who really needs to see a lady working out to feel comfortable with it? You lift what you are comfortable with and progress on your own. I have seen great results of varying degrees.…

Honestly, as a parent of two children that fall into the chart as being "moderately obese", I would take her letter. Read it. Toss it. And move on. No big deal.

Pretty much agree!

In 2008, my mother and I signed up to walk a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day. Not gonna run at all. The gun went off and well so did I. I always detested running. My knees. My breathing. The whole crappy process of it. But vowed to run it the next year. Fast forward to 2010, I talked my brother and mother into trying a…

To each is their own and all adults can make their own informed decisions. Kudos for checking the "stuff" out and doing some research. I will give you my honest take on it .... I ordered in a challenge pack and it was for three months. Did it taste wonderful? No but I've had worse. As one month progressed to two my…

I read them and chuckle about it every single day!

It is about finding what works for you. Might be daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, yearly. There is no set rule. I, personally, might step on a scale twice a year. Lost 75 lbs and have maintained that for over 3 1/2 years. I know from how my clothing fit. Not by a number on a scale. Now, over the past year, my journey has…

Ohio 2 here. Second year for me. First for my hubby. I will be running twice. Once with him and a little later with the group of ladies I ran with last year. Just pure fun. I described it as a typical weekend growing up. We did some interesting things growing up.

HRM and I have the hardest time getting my fellow classmates to realize that my "burn" is not their burn!

Very few companies sell them. I am a 40 AAA. JCPenneys care a line online and there are several websites that have a selection. I have been to every specialty companyin our area and the fitting specialists have been nice enough to say " Wow, you really don't have anything!"

Once the breast tissue is gone it is gone. Chest exercises will not help. I can make my pectoral muscles dance but my non-existent AAA breasts look no fuller. A good bra goes a long way. And trust me I pay and search for AAA. After breast feeding two children and loosing 75 lbs the B's disappeared. I equate them to…

If asked and I am close to them ... answer is yes regardless of age.

It show up under Strength training in the cardiovascular section. I wear my HRM and there is a big difference between it and what MFP says. I kinda average it somewhere in the middle as I do not believe MFP "generic" nor a HRM can necessarily give you an accurate number for weight lifting.

You can use any boxed cake mix and any can of soda. The egg whites are not needed. This is a old Weight Watchers "trick" for a treat with low points. Family has made numerous times with just mix and pop. Only thing I recommend is if you want light colored cake use light colored soda.

Thank you for the information and link. I'm going to go ahead and get a heartrate monitor also. But I will look at the link for info. My hubby was laughing yesterday at me over the workout as compared to the cals burned that listed. I'm pushing 55+ on squats 35+ on chest and the list goes on......but on here it listed as…

Don't hate him. But I put as much merit in what he is pushing as I do all the magazine cover weight loss gimmicks.

I tried the one hundred push up challenge once. Got bored....the counting. I know that sounds like a cop out. So I signed up for a 1000 in a week challenge. Did that. Now working on a 3500 in May challenge. So the 100 in a row just doesn't appeal anymore. I'm in week six of the 200 squat challenge ... located in the same…
