Best way to log a workout?

Hello! I do Pump, Zumba, and will be throwing P90X back into the mix. Along with training for a marathon. Is wearing a heartrate monitor the only way to get a "true" reading for listing them on here. I have no idea how to log them. I've been putting Pump under weight lifting but think that is slighting me. I am really trying to get a strong hold on my nutrition and it is good to know what is being burnt. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.......

It's really just a guess. Even with a heart rate monitor, you're not going to get a true measure of the calories burned, but it'll put you in the right ballpark.0

I log Body Pump as circuit training and only for 30 minutes because I think MFP gives too high a calorie burn if you put it in for 60 minutes. Here is a report from Les Mills about Body Pump. It's kind of dense but interesting. Check out page 5 to see the average calorie burn. http://www.lesmills.com/files/globalcentral/Agents/Research/Program Research/BODYPUMP Research Report.pdf0

Thanks for this! I love Pump (and all the Les Mills programs I've tried so far), but haven't seen this report.0 -
Thank you for the information and link. I'm going to go ahead and get a heartrate monitor also. But I will look at the link for info. My hubby was laughing yesterday at me over the workout as compared to the cals burned that listed. I'm pushing 55+ on squats 35+ on chest and the list goes on......but on here it listed as like 200 burnt. He just laughed. I'll get it figured out and try to monitor the best I can. Thanks again!00
