Hi all,

I am new to myfitnesspal.com and my workouts primarily consist of lifting heavy weights. I have logged my weight lifting activities but my fitnesspal is not giving me calories burned for them. Am I not doing something right?

It show up under Strength training in the cardiovascular section. I wear my HRM and there is a big difference between it and what MFP says. I kinda average it somewhere in the middle as I do not believe MFP "generic" nor a HRM can necessarily give you an accurate number for weight lifting.

It doesn't add calories burned for strength training under Strength Training (odd, I know). There is an exercise listed called Strength Training that includes weight lifting under Cardio. You might also try using a heart rate monitor and entering the calories yourself.for the most accurate information.
